JOB SUMMARY : IBEX IT Business Experts, LLC is looking for an experienced Health Communications Project Manager to support the Center of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Global Immunization Division (GID) communication initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in global health and experience developing, managing, and implementing health communication campaigns and initiatives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  • BS in Health Communications or related field (MS in Health Communications preferred)
  • 7 10 years Health Communication experience (5+ Years in an analyst role)
  • Technical Skills : MS Office Suite, Word, Excel, Email
  • Must have the ability to work in the US
  • Must hold a valid Driver’s License
  • Able to pass Federal Government security / background check
  • Capable of effectively communicating in English, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience working with CDC or related organizations (NIH, WHO) on global immunization communication initiatives
  • Experience Managing a team of communication staff (graphic designers, writers, copy editors) to create and deliver communication materials in various forms (print, website, SharePoint sites, presentations, logos, fact sheets, journals)
  • Ability to work with stakeholders to confirm requirements and manage tasks and schedules to create project deliverables
  • Experience utilizing project management tools and practices to track, schedule and manage communication projects
  • Experience creating health communication materials including design, layout, and editing services

Requirements

Required Qualifications : Attach Resume Upon Applying 10+ years (REQUIRED) extensive experience, knowledge, and skilled in the applications and methods used in the preservation and fixation of tissue specimens, processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining (including complex special stains).

REQUIRED) HISTOPATHOLOGY LICENSE (REQUIRED "ACTIVE STATUS") Knowledge of the procedures used for the decalcification of bone and the various acids and acid / fixative combinations used.

Knowledge acquired through experience, education and / or on-the-job training. Knowledge of tissue morphology to identify gross lesions and to identify correct embedding, sectioning and staining reactions.

Knowledge of basic teaching techniques to instruct and train other technicians assigned. Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of all specialized and general laboratory equipment used in the laboratory.

Basic knowledge of computer use. Shall be able to read, write, speak and understand English Be a U.S Citizen Duties of the Histopathology Technician contractor shall include the following : Develops and executes new procedures related to micro techniques and assists in the establishment of new and competent methods of fixation of pathologic and normal tissue for micro analytic examination.

Operates, maintains, troubleshoots and adjusts or repairs cryostats, which are used to prepare frozen section for the rapid diagnosis of cancer.

Performs cryotomy and must maintain a skill level sufficient to cut frozen section slides if the pathologist or resident needs assistance.

Sets up technical procedures and other detail necessary for processing frozen sections or touch preparations. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the theory of fixation, dehydration, and infiltration of tissue samples.

Displays skill and proficiency in performing all aspects of microtomy and slide preparation for routine histology, histochemistry, immunohistology and specimen sectioning and collection for genetic studies.

Work requires thorough knowledge and experience in tissue orientation and embedding in paraffin wax and proper microtomy techniques of all tissue types, including bone.

Performs decalcification of all types of bone (dense cortical bone, spongy cancellous bone and very small bone marrow biopsies) using various acids and acid / fixative combinations.

Performs a full range of duties involved in special processing and staining of all tissue types including skin, bone, nerve, brain and lymph nodes.

Performs a wide variety of special stains demonstrating microorganisms, anatomical characteristics, carbohydrates and amyloidal, pigments, minerals and cytoplasmic granules and enzyme histochemistry.

Keeps accurate records of work output for collation of periodic reports, equipment maintenance QC logs and other logs / data that must be recorded.

Files tissue blocks and slides. Sets up new filing system as needed. Repairs broken and damaged slides. Work Environment : This job requires work to be completed in a laboratory setting using standard office, medical and laboratory equipment.
