Tow Truck Driver
Here at IAA Holdings, LLC, our Tow truck drivers will be responsible for providing best-in-class towing service for the organization.
Drivers are responsible for the inbound and outbound towing of light duty vehicles - including motorcycles, travel trailers, and various other vehicles that can be fixed to a standard ball hitch - for a diversified customer base.
The pickup and delivery of vehicles according to due dates for all work assigned through the IAA Dispatch Team is essential.
Drivers will provide status updates to customers and dispatchers and will perform all communication, paperwork, condition reporting, and imaging required, including title verification, as necessary.
Drivers will be responsible for meeting performance goals as outlined by management and ensuring the safe and damage free towing of customer vehicles.
In this role, drivers will be required to perform minor mechanical functions to ensure safe operation of the tow truck and proper towing of vehicles.
Drivers will operate company vehicles in a safe manner and maintain compliance with safety regulations as well as federal, state, and local licensing requirements.
Drivers will be required to travel to Catastrophe events, which can require deployment for multiple weeks, as directed by management.
Advance notice of the need for travel will be provided by management, but due to the nature of catastrophe events, advance notice could be limited.
Key Responsibilities :
- Safely operate company tow trucks and tow light duty vehicles without causing damage to vehicles in tow.
- Perform pre and post trip inspections to ensure towed vehicles are not damaged.
- Safely tow customer vehicles.
- Perform pre and post trip inspections to ensure tow trucks are in good working order and comply with all safety requirements.
- Collaborate with the IAA Dispatch Team and be a positive influence.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Record all pickup and delivery events, and capture all necessary information, including images, on the IAA Tow App.
- Verify title information when title pickup is required with the assigned vehicle and communicate any discrepancies with the IAA Dispatch Team.
- Ensure all assigned tow jobs are completed on, or before, the due date.
- Other duties as assigned per business needs.
Required Skills :
- Possess a valid Drivers License
- Minimum 1-year towing / transport experience
- Willingness to work 12-14 hr. shifts including weekend and holidays (this role is overtime eligible)
