What you’ll be doing in this unique role :

One of the valuable distinctions of being a Field Sales Consultant is our Fully Integrated Sales approach which plays an integral role in encouraging active collaboration while enhancing your ability to sell, contribute and grow personally and professionally.

Working in our customer-oriented, team-based sales environment, you’ll be responsible for leading outreach to healthcare practitioners in your territory to actively grow and develop your account base by obtaining and onboarding new customers and increasing sales by selling deeper and wider in existing accounts.

This position will focus on growing sales by capturing new business as well as servicing existing clients. In addition, you’ll :

  • Plan, organize and implement effective strategies using company resources and other initiatives to increase market share within a specific territory by coordinating all team selling assets including, Telesales, Business Development Executives, Strategic Accounts Team, Lab and Diagnostics / Equipment Team, Surgical Solutions Team and others
  • Conduct face-to-face contact with every account assigned and captured on a timely and periodic basis
  • Passionately respond to customers’ concerns and resolve inquiries promptly to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Attend medical conventions / seminars and participate in all training programs to enhance sales and business acumen and subsequent sales performance

  • Have a High School diploma; bachelor’s degree highly preferred
  • Are passionate about building relationships to create sales opportunities
  • Are not afraid of cold calling and are delighted to drive meaningful conversations with prospective customers and build relationships;

prior sales experience helpful, but not required

  • Are an excellent communicator with prior sales experience, customer service, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Have PC proficiency, including MS Word and Excel
  • Possess a valid US Driver’s License (Motor Vehicle Check Required)
  • Can travel extensively within a specific geographic territory

JOB SUMMARY :

Responsible for leading a team of field sales consultants towards achieving sales and profit goals for their respective region of the company through development and execution of sales strategies and programs.

Develops sales strategies and executes programs that are necessary to achieve the sales and profit goals for the region of the company.

Assists with the overall sales of the company and maintains company's gross profit initiatives. Reviews sales performance of the Field Sales Representatives.

Oversees staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop sales programs. Interprets company policy to employees and enforces company policies and practices.

Coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals. Interacts closely with various internal management to discuss issues that have potential impact on improving sales.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES :

Manages a regional sales force and related activities. Oversees staffing, training, and performance evaluations and develops and controls sales programs.

Interprets company policy to employees and enforces company policy and practices. Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring work activities, such as preparation of records of expenditures, progress reports, etc.

Develops sales strategies to cross sell unique products and services to customers of one or few business categories, (i.

Ensures Sales Representatives keep informed of changes in territories that might affect product sales. Also works closely with manufacturers concerning quarterly sales and advertising promotions.

Interacts closely with various internal department management, including Purchasing, Inventory Control, Operations, Finance, and Credit.

Meets and communicates effectively on a regular basis to discuss issues that have potential impact on improving sales. May also work with Operations Management on efficiencies and product standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from inventory lines.

Prepares monthly sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, risks and opportunities. Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, market potential, price schedules, and contracts.

Responsible for annual forecasts on anticipated market sales. Develops sales campaigns to accommodate goals specified by the company.

Responsible for data analysis aimed at segmenting Henry Schein's products, customers, and selling channels. Determines strategies, develops programs and tactics, and tracks program results.

  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.

Experience :

Progressive sales experience in the medical distribution industry, including at least three years in supervisory role, or the equivalent required.

Other :

Bachelor's degree or the equivalent preferred; Valid Driver's License with no prior suspensions or revocations.

The posted range for this position is $108,000 - $150,000 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role.

Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including education, prior experience, training, current skills, certifications, location / labor market, internal equity, etc.

At the time of this posting, this position is eligible for a bonus not reflected in the posted range subject to the achievement of the plan.
