Manager, Logistics Job Description :

The Manager will lead inbound & outbound transportation initiatives of the Logistics Operations Center team. Responsibilities include managing a team of coordinators & associates, executing all aspects of freight processes & improving tools that support transportation scheduling, tracking line hauls, negotiating spot market freight, & managing exceptions.

The Manager will actively communicate cross-functionally to create seamless transportation execution across our network.

This team member supports process improvement initiatives, solves problems in real-time, analyzes data & presents key findings, & maintains daily performance metrics.

You will be asked to travel up to 20% within the United States.

You will

Manage the logistics process related to our centralized dispatching platform & TMS software

Lead a team of coordinators & associates responsible for executing our inbound & outbound network strategy nationwide

Ensure all morning order management tasks are completed accurately & on time

Support process improvement initiatives across Logistics Operations network

Create inbound & outbound scheduling to optimize dock capacities

Provide support & monitor inbound & outbound logistics escalations to reduce potential risk in a proactive manner

Collaborate with Procurement & inbound logistics team to drive process efficiencies & ensure product arrives at production facilities in a timely manner

Manage & execute on load coverage needs for inbound & outbound supply chains

Assist with strategy & cost savings initiatives for the inbound & outbound teams

Analyze complicated data sets & present findings on a daily / weekly basis - spreadsheet proficiency is a must

Ensure appropriate process controls & documentation align with total transportation excellence expectations

Monitor, measure & improve service level metrics, including on-time arrival & on-time departure

Capture, manage & maintain the data integrity within TMS platform

Implement contingency plans to minimize downstream impacts to our customers across our network including external carriers & 3PLs

Partner with DC Shipping teams to establish efficient staffing plans based on shipping load distribution

Work directly with our outbound transportation team to lead & reinforce operational process improvement projects

Provide the best possible experience for the HelloFresh customer

You have...

Bachelors Degree preferably in Supply Chain field or similar required

4 years of experience with a leading CPG or transportation company, specifically carrier brokerage, linehaul management and / or small parcel carriers (UPS, FDX, Regionals) required

Ability to travel up to 20% within the United States required

Experience leading teams as well as managing projects

High proficiency analyzing large data sets using spreadsheets (MS Excel, Google Sheets) & presenting key findings in presentation format (PowerPoint, Google Slides)

Experience with TMS & SaaS platforms preferred

Experience with Lean Six Sigma & 5S preferred

Demonstrated experience in achieving results through building relationships on their own team & cross-functionally

Flexible in working a non M-F work schedule (e.g. Tues-Saturday and / or rotational schedule and / or overnights)
