We are looking for a smart, entrepreneurial, and intellectually curious intern for our Marketing and Communications team.

To succeed here, you'll need to be creative-minded, willing to try new things across a variety of marketing areas, and be engaged in numerous projects with tight deadlines.

You absolutely must be a good writer and editor and have an eye for details, the development of key messages, and value propositions.

To do great work you need to be an enthusiastic team player, who can work cross-functionally with partners across global corporate and marketing communications, and beyond.

Reporting to the Marketing Specialist, you will work in close collaboration across teams and functions with ample chances to develop your marketing skills, as well as project management and organizational experience, to create a wide range of written content, and to develop key messages and value propositions for our company.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in all areas of marketing including internal and external communications, campaign strategy, and public relations.

Responsibilities :

  • Distill, develop and communicate key messages with a continuous focus on stakeholders and value propositions
  • Drafting and / or editing blog posts, bylines, award submissions, and press releases
  • Drafting and coordinating marketing collateral aligning with sales initiatives including cut sheets, FAQ’s, brochures, and PowerPoint presentations
  • Support customer communication efforts through customer emails and talking points
  • Assist with drafting internal communications and internal employee newsletter
  • Team organization support maintaining calendars for emails, events, and launches

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :

  • A Sophomore, Junior, or Senior enrolled at a university with a track in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or Journalism
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn across multiple areas of marketing and public relations
  • Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills
  • Writing and editing experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Laborer to join our team at our Jersey City Dredge Material Processing facility.

Duties will include handling the disposal, processing, and beneficial reuse of dredged materials that are shipped into our facility via barge.

This may include but is not limited to :

  • Movement of heavy, wet material using hand tools and small equipment
  • Working around heavy equipment and processing plant
  • Follows company safety policies and protocols
  • Performs some specialized tasks which may require on-the job training.

This position requires the ability to work in outdoor conditions near water (barge shifting along dock frontage) during all seasons and in various types of weather.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Laborer in a construction environment
  • Experience in operating small equipment (e.g. skid steer, MEWP, electric and pneumatic tooling)

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Maintenance and mechanical aptitude
  • High school diploma or GED

Job Description

General Purpose :

Clean Earth of North Jersey is a leading provider of environmental and regulated waste management solutions. We provide a strengthened infrastructure and a broad portfolio of services for customers who generate regulated and non-regulated waste in virtually any industry.

Customers receive innovative and sustainable solutions that safeguard the environment, protect people and keep their organizations compliant.

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions) :

  • Assist Customer Service and Sales with customer requests for inbound shipments and scheduled deliveries.
  • Maintain the daily schedule for all waste material into the facility.
  • Provides highest level of customer service to all customers both internal and external in line with Customer 1st objectives.
  • Act as primary liaison between CENJ and approved transportation companies for scheduling and shipping material to and from the facility
  • Prepare shipping paperwork such as manifests, BOLs, LDRs and labels as required
  • Prepare Purchase Orders / requisitions as required
  • Participate in finalizing the inbound and outbound schedule on a daily basis.
  • Schedule rail shipments and inbound empty car schedule.
  • Inspect returning rail cars for damage and maintain inspection reports.
  • Prepare rail shipment manifests, BOLs and customs paperwork if required.
  • Conduct periodic transporter audits and ensure proper permits are in place.
  • Assist in daily inspections as required.
  • Assist drivers with problems / issues as issues arise
  • Handle 3rd Party Hauler paperwork including obtaining and maintaining Transporter Service Agreements (TSA)
  • Participate in bid reviews and pricing as it pertains to transportation
  • Act as primary contact for intracompany shipments and scheduling
  • Keep staff informed of current problems, changes, and new developments in the department and company by conducting professional, organized, and participative meetings.
  • Monitor Company policies and procedures, communicate to staff, as necessary.
  • Maintain a safe and compliant workplace at all times
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Basic Requirements

High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two or more years of Transportation / Logistic experience.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work safely and carefully to prevent injury to self or others.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of computer software applications to include spreadsheets and word processing.
