Harris & Associates is searching for an Environmental Analyst. The Environmental Analyst will prepare environmental documentation for a variety of complex planning, development and infrastructure projects under the direction of a Harris project manager.
The primary responsibility of the position is writing environmental documents. Attention to detail, including strong spelling, proofreading, and organizational skills, is required.

The position demands the ability to coordinate effectively with the project team, and to prioritize and complete high-quality work within specified deadlines.
A strong work ethic, positive attitude and experience working in a team-oriented environment is also required. A test of practical skills will be given to final candidates.
Responsibilities & Duties : Applying knowledge of environmental regulations, including CEQA and NEPA requirements Assist with preparation of CEQA and NEPA documents including Environmental Impact Reports, Mitigated Negative Declarations, and Initial Studies Assist with preparation of technical studies, such as air quality, greenhouse gas emissions, noise, cultural resources, and biological resources Assist with planning related documents, which may include General Plan, specific plan or climate / sustainability plans Research, data collection, and technical writing Cultivating strong relationships with clients, including frequent written and verbal communication Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, environmental sciences, planning or related field One year of related work experience preparing environmental documents or supporting technical studies.
An advanced degree (Masters) in any of these areas may be substituted for one year of work experience. Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Strong oral and written communication / interpersonal skills Strong research, mathematical / scientific and analytical skills The ability to manage one’s own time, multi-task, and change priorities quickly The position may require infrequent travel to other parts of California, including occasional overnight travel Compensation and Benefits Salary $60K-75K B.
