Your days will never be the same - some days you will need your work boots to take photos of a building under construction, while others will be fast-paced customizing documents for prospective clients.
You will attend groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings and grand openings. You will strategize how to win new clients in new markets.

Description
OPPORTUNITIES
Coordinate the compilation of proposals and presentations : writing and / or editing text, design layout, graphics, resumes, schedules, etc.
with oversight and direction from the Director of Marketing and Business Development team.
- Work with Director of Marketing and Business Development staff to set up and maintain marketing plan for each new project and follow through to completion.
- Compile design and coordinate the layout and production of boards, videos and handouts required for presentations (GMS Brochure, Sell Sheet, Capabilities Brochure, Annual Report, etc.
is also in charge of file management.
- Develop and maintain marketing materials as needed.
- Create content for social media and company newsletter.
- Register and coordinate involvement with trade associations, trade shows, and conferences with direction from the Business Development Manager.
- Monitor inventory, prepare and assist in the compilation of reference letters.
- Work with Business Development to compile Performance Evaluation Questionnaires for Clients to complete at the end of a job.
- Manage, coordinate, inventory and image scanning / data storage of photos and graphics, including project photographs and their updates.
- Maintain memberships in various relevant organizations.
- Participates in the Marketing / Business Development meetings.
- Support the Office Manager with event attendance coordination, community outreach promotions / events, and employee engagement activities.
- Back-up support personnel in their absence or in extreme workload situations. This includes being in the office at 8 : 00 AM and over lunch from 12 : 00 12 : 30 PM each day with occasional exceptions.
- Support offices with jobsite signage, photography, social media, website updates, logos, hardhat stickers and business cards and tradeshow attendance.
- Coordinates all customized paper products, including, but not limited to, business cards, letterhead, envelopes, stickers, forms, etc.
with direction from the Director of Marketing.
MEDIA RELATIONS
- Monitor and manage the Marketing folder on the company scanning / data of printed and virtual press releases and save.
- Develop and maintain relationships with marketing counterparts of clients, potential clients, architects and engineers.
- Maintain company website & social media.
- Research and write new project releases and updates.
- Assist in the coordination and publicity of groundbreakings, topping outs, grand openings, ribbon cuttings, etc. with the direction and input from the Director of Marketing.
- Create display advertisements in various media.
- Create project award submittals, staff nominations and search for awards.
- Local market research and monitor competition.
- Monitor, update and maintain marketing data.
PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY
- Visit project sites and take progress photos. Edit and save the photos appropriately.
- Coordinate with photographer schedules for project photo shoots
Other duties as assigned...because we are in marketing...and things come up.
Qualifications
- Requires a BS in a related field, journalism or marketing, and 3 years of experience in marketing for the construction or architecture industry.
- Must have intermediate to advanced experience with the following software; Adobe Creative Suite : InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Suite : PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, WordPress is a plus
- Excellent phone skills, good common sense, with the ability to set the tone in a letter both grammatically and politically
- Works well without supervision, can take direction without follow-up and excellent communication and listening skills
- Must be able to pass drug tests and comply with Company drug policies
- Must hold valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Wisconsin
- If operating a personal vehicle, must maintain insurance as required by GMS
