Responsibilities :

  • Establishing different accounts
  • Maintaining records of financial transactions by posting and verifying
  • Defining bookkeeping policies and procedures
  • Developing systems to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts
  • Maintaining subsidiary accounts by posting, verifying, and allocating transactions
  • Reconciling entries to balance subsidiary accounts

  • Preparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing accounting for information

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline
  • CPA is desirable
  • Previous bookkeeping experience preferred

Will jointly manage all operational aspects relating to releases, complaints, recalls, deviations, investigations, corrective actions, change controls, risk management, etc.

  • As needed, liaises with GMP Commercial QA function within operational aspects of mutual concern.
  • Performs mission-critical tasks and provides IMP-GMP advice and support North American requirements at all levels of IMP-GMP manufacture from starting materials through to release of IMP to clinical sites.
  • Maintains awareness of current and planned clinical programs for those projects that have any proportion of clinical trial activity within North America.
  • Maintains awareness of IMP-QA resources to help ensure adequate coverage of projects and activities.
  • Provides QA input to working groups and systems development as appropriate.
  • Provides regional (US) input in global and EU / US integrated procedures.
  • Works with external service provider QA department heads / designees to address investigations, non-conformances, corrective actions, etc.
  • Advises staff on various topics (e.g., QA drug product, biologics, medical devices), GxP, computer system compliance).
  • Provides / organizes annual IMP-GMP training to staff.
  • Liaises with Regulatory Affairs Dept to maintain an awareness of ongoing regulatory changes.
  • Attends regularly scheduled meetings with CMC and SC Development departments to address on-going studies status.
  • Attends relevant conferences and seminars to maintain an awareness of external QA activities.
  • Participates in internal and external meetings as appropriate.
  • Authors (or assists in the development of) QA documents (SOPs, Work Instructions (WIs), etc.). Reviews and critiques other departmental or contractor technical documents including, for example, Global SOPs and WIs, change requests, deviation reports, validation protocols / reports.
  • Liaises with relevant parties to arrange the pharmaceutical and biological products audits as required by QA audit plans, prepares / performs, or manages such audits as required by the audit plans, prepares timely reports of audits performed, and distributes relevant audits reports in accordance with policy.
  • Works with external service provider QA department heads / designees to execute Quality Agreements. Provides local North American perspective in relation to global activities and systems
  • Manages IMP-GMP related internal audits and IMP-GMP regulatory inspections of activities.
  • Authorizes IMP, bulk and finished product batches for release.
  • Participates in regional and global mock recall exercises as per company requirements.
  • Reviews and accepts stability data for extended use of clinical supplies.
  • Provides IMP-GMP support to assure compliance of IMP and commercial supply chains.
  • Performs activities to support maintenance of IMP-GMP requirements for operations as an IND holder.
  • Performs IMP-GMP audits of Pharmaceutical and Biological drug substance and drug products manufacturing and distribution sites on our behalf and in compliance with FDA Regulations and Guidances.
  • Performs rotating Chairmanship of the Global IMP-GMP Monthly Meeting.
  • Provides QA and operational advice to Clinical Supply Chain and Regulatory / CMC personnel.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry or equivalent relevant life sciences education.
  • At least 15 years’ experience in Pharmaceutical Quality / Technical operations, with at least 10 years in pharmaceutical IMP-GMP activities.

Biological products experience required.

  • International experience in GMP compliance (particularly in Japan) desirable but not essential.
  • Thorough knowledge of US and Canadian Pharmaceutical Law and Regulations related to Drug Substances, Drug Products, and Investigational Medicinal Products.

Knowledge of Good Distribution Practice an advantage.

  • Proficient with the processes and technologies of pharmaceutical development, production (drug substance and drug products), quality control and quality assurance.
  • Familiar with Pharmaceutical Quality Management Systems (ICH Q10), 21CFRParts 11, 210, 211, 600, applicable ICH, PIC / S, EU GMPs
  • Qualified in IMP-GMP auditing of contract manufacturers, distributors, and laboratories.
  • Accomplished team member who demonstrates flexibility / adaptability and a high level of influencing and supporting skills.
  • Required to travel approximately 10% percent primarily domestic but with occasional international trips.
  • Note : No current required need for experience with 21CFR1271 Human Cells, Tissue and Cellular Based Products
