Mechanical Engineer
JOB FUNCTIONS :
Job functions include, but are not limited to the following :
- Solving problems and concepting mechanical design solutions
- Collaborating with carton designers to optimize the relationship between a package and the machinery application.
- Working with the sales department to understand our customers’ needs and offering the best solutions.
- Collaborating with the technicians that build and debug the machine to ensure flawless operation.
- Communicating with fabricators to create the most efficient design for piece parts.
- Collaborating with electrical engineering to design servo controls.
- Working with customers to understand and solve their problems through innovative design and field support.
- Prepare complex layout and proposals and detail drawings in accordance with Engineering Standards from rough sketches, models or verbal descriptions.
- Prepare studies, concepts, and proposals for project justification and approval.
- Work with Manufacturing, Service & Customers to resolve machine problems.
- Maintain drawing and specification files.
- Review and check work of others for conformance to Engineering Standards, dimensioning and clarity of data.
- Job function could require domestic and international travel up to 25%.
Required Skills
- Bachelors or Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, Automation or other related field
- 7-10 years experience in machinery design and engineering project management experience.
- Proficient in SolidWorks
- An interest or prior experience with automated machinery design, including dynamic mechanical timed mechanisms

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer for highly customized packaging machinery. Our machines are some of the fastest packaging machines in the world with the fastest product changeovers in the industry.
Our customers are among the most highly recognized, global, food and beverage brands. This position will include the design and development of new machines as well as supporting and troubleshooting machines in the field.
