POSITION SUMMARY

The Donation Attendant II is responsible for greeting customers, loading and unloading donated goods using a hand truck (dolly), sorting and distributing donated goods for processing, accurately tracking donations and providing customer receipts, other basic retail operations duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide exceptional customer service to donors and customers by greeting and accepting donations at donation station. Issue donor receipt in friendly and courteous manner.

Handle and sort donated goods into appropriate containers.

  • Load, unload and move donated goods, materials, including furniture using a hand truck onto or from pallets, racks or shelves to maintain workflow of production cycle and to distribute donated materials.
  • Supply Team Members with materials, boxes, barrels, containers, etc. by walking stations to identify and restock supplies.
  • Keep aisles free from debris, remove obstructions from production and sales floors. Ensure work areas and facilities remain clean and organized.

Inform Team Leader or Manager of possible safety hazards.

  • Keep work area clean by sweeping, emptying trash cans and disposing of trash in appropriate containers.
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards.
  • Adhere to Loss Prevention and inventory control and compliance procedures.
  • Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting, assisting, and responding to questions and / or concerns in a positive, professional, and friendly manner.
  • Assist in safeguarding Goodwill team members and property from harm, damage or theft. Comply with the Ethics Policy by immediately reporting any observed or suspected theft, fraud, violence, or any unethical or inappropriate behavior to a supervisor, human resources, or the Ethics Hotline.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working successfully working as Donation Attendant at Goodwill, with performance and attendance in good standing.
  • Ability to bend, lift, grasp and move continuously through the day.
  • Good verbal communication skills with ability to effectively work as a team to achieve mission goals
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.
  • For positions that require driving, must maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage, and be able to travel as needed if you drive your vehicle during company business.

Case Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for assisting Goodwill Industries of San Antonio clients with fostering a healthy and positive approach to personal challenges by offering case management, support, guidance and coaching in areas such as personal relationships, self-esteem, finances, health and personal success.

The Licensed Case Manager will create strong relationships with individuals and provide unbiased feedback in a non-judgmental environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide education, life skills training and short term solution focused sessions to Goodwill clients.
  • Conduct & interpret needs assessments for development of appropriate service plan
  • Assist clients in developing action plans for success in overcoming personal challenges.
  • Provide direct services including short term solution focused sessions as appropriate to assist individuals with complex barriers who are enrolled in Goodwill programs and / or Goodwill team members.
  • Provide appropriate referrals for other community resources to address client needs (food, housing, medical, behavioral health care etc.

and link clients to services as needed.

  • Document encounters with clients made either by phone or in person.
  • Gather and analyze measures for success of clients in overcoming personal barriers; follow-up as needed.
  • Work with Goodwill employees to develop and refine life skills to include job readiness training as needed to serve clients.
  • Coordinate closely with the Good Career Center and Good Careers Academy teams on the formation of comprehensive plans for clients to ensure success.
  • Oversee the progress of life skills for clients in Goodwill-administered programs.
  • Attend and participate in meetings of key stakeholders, collaborate with others to achieve the Goodwill mission.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments and / or HR to appropriately support individuals through resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Demonstrate ethics and maintain strict confidentiality of all information pertaining to caseload.

REQUIREMENTS

Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field required. Must have & maintain current license in good standing in the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

Will consider an LPC-Associate, LMFT-Associate or LMSW under clinical supervision to become an LCSW with a Board-approved supervisor.

In addition to degree and licensure, 3+ years of experience in a non- profit, social service agency environment is strongly preferred.

  • Bilingual - English / Spanish - Strongly preferred.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in case management and / or counseling individuals on life skills; 2+ years working with diverse and non-traditional populations.

Knowledge and experience working with individuals with history of substance abuse.

  • Knowledge of and relationships with effective community resources for disability services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple constituencies to resolve complex workplace challenges.
  • Proficiency with operating multiple computer programs such as clinical documentation software and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and reliable transportation, and pass any required federal, state, municipality, and / or customer-specific background checks.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.
