Under the supervision of the ACC District Manager, the Collection Attendant is responsible for accepting donations from the public, distributing requisite receipts, sorting, stacking, and inventory of goods

Essential Functions

  • Provides quality customer service in a timely and courteous manner to all donors.
  • Responsible for greeting and assisting donors in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Responsible for accepting or rejecting donations according to the guidelines.
  • Sort donations in the designated categories.
  • Adhere to principles of workstation organization.
  • Loads / Unloads donated goods safely and effectively.
  • Provides the proper attention to site appearance and cleanliness.
  • Keeps management informed as to the site needs.

Mandatory Customer Service at Donation Xpress :

  • Upon arrival, greet each donor at their vehicle.
  • Meet each donor with a dandex (cart) in hand at their vehicle.
  • Assist each donor with the unloading of all of their donations.
  • Roll dandex (cart) into the donation center.
  • Offer each donor a receipt.
  • Thank each donor for their donation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of sites.

Mandatory Customer Service at Trailer sites :

  • Upon arrival, greet each donor at their vehicle.
  • Assist each donor with the unloading of all of their donations.
  • Place donations in the trailer.
  • Offer each donor a receipt.
  • Thank each donor for their donation.
  • Maintaining the appearance of trailer exterior and parking lot.
  • Assist in ensuring stairs and trailer are in proper working order.

Incidental Functions :

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities : Store Operation

Store Operation

  • Assist in coordinating the proper processing and separation of incoming donations, outlet merchandise and salvage goods.
  • Assist in coordinating used goods processing through the proper application of GISVNN techniques : sorting, preparing, and pricing items for sale.
  • Participates in ensuring production goals are met or exceeded on a consistent basis.
  • Assist in ensuring maximum sales performance through proper stock rotation, display, signage, and inventory levels.
  • Participates in ensuring that store meets or exceeds sales goals on a consistent basis.
  • Assist in ensuring that store is presenting quality customer service in a timely and courteous manner to all shoppers, donors and employees.
  • Assist in affective store operations by opening or closing assigned store as scheduled.

Case Manager 1

General Summary :

  • Under direction of the Program Manager and with independent professional responsibility, the Case Manager II performs case management with individual program participants in permanent housing;
  • performs assessments, individual counseling, group facilitation, community resource development, file monitoring and review;

reviews agency reports and develops summaries. This individual will combine a strong understanding of the housing first model and the ability to maintain a strength-based perspective to work with low-income adults from diverse social and ethnic backgrounds who have a history of homelessness.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Essential Functions :

Case Management

  • Perform overall assessment of program participant’s needs and develop an individualized service plans with short and long term goals.
  • Review case plans weekly to adjust goals where needed or appropriate.
  • Perform a wide variety of group facilitation with program participants around life skills, employment, housing, education, financial capability, nutrition and wellness, art and culture.
  • Educate program participants on issues surrounding living skills, parenting, financial capability, workforce development, health and hygiene, housing, and drug and alcohol abuse.
  • Develops and maintain comprehensive lists of community resources for use by program participants and refer program participants as appropriate.
  • Establish individualized budgets with program participants and assist program participants in monitoring savings and expenditures.
  • Document all contact with program participants; prepares all screenings, assessments, service plans, evaluations, and reporting records.
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing participant referrals with other community agencies.
  • Provide crisis intervention, referrals and collaborative consultations with service providers working with the client.
  • Maintain and update all client files to ensure compliance with reporting agencies.
  • Transport program participants as directed following established policies and procedures.
  • Attend and conduct meetings and trainings, as directed.

Other Duties / Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain positive relations with the general public, funding agency, participants and other staff.
  • Ensures compliance with all Goodwill Industries Sacramento Valley Northern Nevada and Next Move policies, CARF standards, and safety and security regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Basic Qualifications of the Role :

  • Must have knowledge and experience with social casework objectives, principles and methods.
  • Experience working with low-income adults from diverse social and ethnic backgrounds who have a history of homelessness.
  • Must be able to provide program and casework consultation to other staff members.
  • Must have understanding of public welfare laws, principles of community organization, and effective use of public and private community resources.
  • Must have experience assessing individual and group behaviors and incorporate knowledge of social and economic forces and its effects on individual and families.
  • Demonstrate ability to interview and document in the social work space.
  • Must have experience and skill to establish and maintain effective individual and group relationships with participants, employees and community partners.
  • Must have ability to facilitate different types of conversations with a diverse population.
  • Experience using basic computer, peripheral equipment and Microsoft Office software.
  • Experience in report writing and advanced file management techniques.
