Services Project Manager
In this role, the Hydro Services Project Manager will be responsible for project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of project related activities and resources with the support of the Services Field Reliability and Operations Engineer, Field Operations Leader, Planner and Buyer.
In your role, the Hydro Services Project Manager will :
- Own customer interface and develop partnership for the success of the project;
- Drive the project strategy focusing on Environmental, Health and Safety requirements, Compliance and Quality at all times during project execution as per GE guidelines;
- Build the Project detailed budget and detailed retrofit schedule;
- Deliver project On-Time and On-Budget;
- Drive the assessment and mitigation of risks throughout the project and develop recovery plan when needed;
- Enhance project financial KPIs through Change Orders;
- Ensure project implementation as well as work packages and constraints are accurately integrated into project planning scenario;
- Be responsible for monitoring progress and producing accurate projections of time and cost;
- Ensures other functions have access to accurate current reports and projections and relevant reports are available for the customer;
- Present projects plans, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior business leaders;
- Drive complex processes requiring involvement of many stakeholders both at the client side and internally;
- Build strong relationship and intimacy with GE client while demonstrating success in the execution of the jobs.

Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in business or engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
- Minimum of 10 years professional experience including : Minimum 5 years’ experience in Project management (ideally with experience with fast track / services projects)Minimum 5 years’ experience with rotating machinery or hydro equipment (preferred)Experience with construction contracts including site activitiesExperience with planning, scheduling and procurement
- Ability and willingness to travel to meet clients and visit Hydro Power Plants up to 30% of the time
Desired Qualifications :
- Knowledge in engineering activities
- Proficiency in English (written, spoken). French in addition is valued
- Knowledge of the Hydro customers in the area is valued
- Project Management Professional certification is desirable
- Engineering or Field Operation work experience is valued
- Able to read drawings and understand mechanical / electrical / hydraulic systems, understanding of system potential failure modes
- Deliver with focus and a high say / do ratio
- At ease with IT tools, incl. MS suite office, Microsoft Project, SAP, PLM knowledge

The salary range for this position is USD. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
