Candidate requirements :

  • Active APP license in the state of Florida
  • Certification as an NP or PA with prescriptive authority
  • One year of full-time experience in an acute care setting as an APRN, -or- one-year post-master degree residency in acute care, -or- 500 hours of proctoring in an accredited training program over at least 3 months in acute care, and completion of an acute care course curriculum from an accredited acute care program
  • 2+ years of GI experience
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish)
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with other providers and the care team

  • Coordinate treatment plans for patients (under the supervision of physicians)
  • Order, interpret, and make diagnoses of lab tests and imaging scans

  • Write / refill prescriptions appropriate for diagnosis
  • Review patient results, including pathology
  • Other duties related to the specialty of gastroenterology as assigned
