Responsibilities

What you’ll be able to do :

  • Create automation for internal monitoring systems utilizing SpringBoot frameworks
  • Use Postman to perform API testing
  • Use Tekton for CI / CD deployments
  • Use Checkmarx / SonarQube / Fossa / 42Crunch to identify code vulnerabilities and code quality
  • Improve Continuous Integration tooling by automating manual processes within the delivery pipeline and improving quality gates.
  • Implement tooling that monitors application performance and automatically notifies team when a failure occurs in production
  • Active participant in all team Agile ceremonies
  • Research and develop concepts and solutions to address cybersecurity incidents reported by industry and research organizations
  • Participate in engineering projects to identify threats and vulnerabilities in our infrastructure, software and system architectures
  • Create storyboards, use cases, proof-of-concept demonstrations, specifications and requirements
  • Perform competitive analyses and maintain knowledge of emerging technologies
  • Interact with business customers to resolve support issues and gather business requirements
  • Complete analysis & development of support tasks with quick implementation and resolution
  • Knowledge and practical experience of agile delivery
  • Ability to delivery product roadmap milestones
  • Provide Agile artifacts associated with application components
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Willingness to continuously learn
  • Highly motivated professional (self-starter and results oriented)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications

The minimum requirements we seek :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Applications, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • 2+ years of experience with Java / Springboot

Our preferred requirements :

  • Master's Degree in Computer Applications, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • Experience with unit-testing and mock frameworks
  • Experience with common development tools (e.g. git, tekton, PCF, Openshift)
  • Experience with Agile development processes and methodologies
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL BE ABLE TO DO :

  • Deliver Manufacturing Delivery Quality Operating System requirements for your specific Subsystem (Electrical, Powertrain, Suspension, Exterior, Interior).
  • Collaborate with Product Development team to generate facility & tooling costs, improve quality, and reduce labor requirements.
  • Use virtual tools to evaluate the feasibility of new model designs for high volume manufacturing operations.
  • Write / modify / maintain process sheets and deliver updated Cycle Line Layouts.
  • Lead identification, resolution, and closure of Assembly and Machining feasibility issues.
  • Create and follow a master schedule for the design, build, and implementation of tools in your subsystem.
  • Lead identification, resolution, and closure of all launch product and tooling issues.
  • Develop "Lessons Learned" from New Model launches and implement Prevent Reoccurrence Actions into future programs.
  • Support Department Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Morale, Environment, and Innovation (SQDCPMEI) initiatives.
  • Interface with cross-functional activities (Product Development, Supplier Technical Assistance, Material Planning & Logistics, New Model Programs).

Primary Skills Required

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to support launch programs on extended travel
  • Strong Project Management skills and result-oriented mindset
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • 3D CAD review abilities (Teamcenter, VisMockup, CATIA, or equivalent)
  • Understanding of PFMEA and failure mode avoidance principles
  • Strong verbal & written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to operate in stressful situations within timing constraints
  • Ability to work with minimal direct supervision

Additional Skills Preferred :

  • Working knowledge of statistics (control charts, data collecting, GD&T etc.)
  • Knowledge in the following Ford software systems : AVBOM, WERS, GSPAS / APT, Teamcenter, E2KS, AIM, CPARS

Experience Preferred :

  • Automotive Manufacturing Engineering experience preferred but not mandatory
  • Experience w / automotive assembly or machining tooling, processes and facilities preferred but not mandatory

Additional Experience preferred :

  • Experience in one or more of the following automotive systems : Interior, Exterior, Chassis, Powertrain, Electrical, Water test, End of Line, Stator / Rotor Manufacturing, Machining, Cell Manufacturing, and Battery Assembly
  • Error proofing

Education Required :

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field

Other :

  • Get involved early with the latest new vehicle and powertrain programs

Additional Information :

Ability to travel including extended travel to assembly and component plants in US, Canada, and / or Mexico required
