Maintains and fuels all buses, activity, and commercial buses in conjunction with First Transits Maintenance Department : dispenses fuel, checks oil, maintains accurate stick and meter readings, stocks required supplies and equipment, and coordinates the flow of buses to ensure safe operation.

Performs light maintenance as necessary to buildings and grounds.

Lot Attendants are responsible for :

  • $20.00, with a shift differential of $1.00.
  • $2,000 Sign on Bonus (Conditions Apply. Offer expires 6 / 30 / 23)
  • Opens the gates to the lot and checks bus parking areas to ensure all can be dispatched in a timely manner. Re-positions any buses that may impede the traffic in the yard.
  • Opens the fuel island, takes accurate stick and meter readings, and turns in inventory sheets at the end of the day.
  • Maintains accurate records and completes Bulk Fuel Receiving Report, Fuel Variance Report, Closing Month-end Report and Meter Calibration Report.
  • Notifies the Contract Manager or designee when a fuel delivery is required and ensures that accurate stick readings are taken before and after delivery.

In addition, ensures that proper procedure is followed during delivery.

Checks and fills the oil, antifreeze, power steering, transmission fluid, brake fluid, windshield washer fluid and belts on buses being fueled.

Ensures that adequate supplies to perform checks are maintained at the fuel island. Communicates with the shop foreman regarding supplies and oil inventory dispensed into equipment.

  • Twice a week, checks tires for damage and proper air pressure. Tire damage must be reported to the shop immediately.
  • Inspects all buses during fueling or on a regularly scheduled basis for physical damage. Any damage will be reported immediately to the Contract Manager or designee.
  • Maintains the required inventory in the spill barrel and notifies the Contract Manager any time supplies are used or replaced.
  • In the event of a fuel spill, takes all necessary steps to contain the spill. The Contract Manager or designee must be notified immediately.
  • Maintains adequate inventories and supplies to make minor repairs and facilitate the washing of buses.
  • Performs light interior and exterior maintenance on buses or trucks as required. This includes but is not limited to seat repair, two-way radio installation and replacement, AM-FM radio installation and replacement and antenna installation and replacement, mirror adjustment and replacement, jump starting buses and lamp replacement.
  • Cleans interiors and exteriors of buses as required to maintain cleanliness of the fleet.
  • Performs maintenance of buildings and grounds to include yard cleanliness, grass and weeds or any other yard projects that are assigned as necessary.

  • Picks up and delivers parts and buses as needed.
  • Follows all safety standards and guidelines, including but not limited to : (1) The wearing of Safety Glasses, (2) The wearing of steel-toed safety shoes, (3) Safety gloves as needed, (4) Proper attire.
  • Performs any other management requests or directives as requested.

Minimum Experience and Skills Required :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

Hospitality Trainer major responsibilities :

  • Prepares, updates, and delivers classroom and behind the wheel training for new trainees, and performs retraining for post-accident and as needed.

Hospitality Trainer requirements :

  • Possess Class A or B CDL Operator’s license with P endorsement
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including good verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English and perform basic mathematical procedures.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years related experience (driving preferred).
  • Familiar with basic vehicle mechanical processes and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality dealing with all aspects of tourism.
  • Familiar with federal, state, and local safety and transit regulations
  • Supervisory experience with hourly employees helpful.
  • Effectively communicate with employees, customers, senior management, and Department of Aviation officials.
  • Able to work shift hours and days assigned. Must maintain excellent attendance.
  • Obtains and maintains required certifications as determined by the company.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Pushing / Pulling must be able to handle heavy wheelchairs and luggage.
  • Lifting Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds of luggage on a repetitive basis . Bus operators can handle up to 450 pieces of luggage a day or more which can total up to 15,000 pounds total daily.
  • Walking Crossing bus lot, up and down in bus loading area, around interior and exterior of bus.
  • Sitting Up to 1-2 hours while driving service vehicle. May also need to sit to drive bus.
  • Climbing In and out of bus on a constant basis while in service.
  • Reaching Must be able to reach to assist drivers when necessary with luggage.

Our Window Dispatchers are responsible for :

Assures all routes are filled as assigned and bus operators are provided with timely

trips, lost, service delays and cancellations

  • Resolves problems by working with carrier dispatchers

Provide excellent customer service to Operators and passengers, and completes a variety of

Manage emergency situations for vehicle operators, act as liaison between the carrier and

emergency services

Answers and direct business calls to appropriate personnel, communicate professionally with

accuracy to all staff (drivers, road supervisors etc.)

  • Ensures all cash, vouchers and lost and found are properly and accurately counted and secured
  • Fill out and send accurate end of shift reports
  • Make sure manifests, stand by sheets and call out sheets are accurately filled out and match

the rollout in the shared drive daily.

To qualify as a Window Dispatcher, you’ll need :

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Customer service and / or Call Center experience required.
  • Knowledge of basic and multi-task computer operation in a Windows environment.
  • Ability to proficiently operate a computer with a speed of no less than 35 keystrokes per

minute.

  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Ability to utilize a standard business telephone system for communication.
  • Ability to interact with interdepartmental personnel.
