FLSA : Exempt Temporary / Continuing : Continuing Part-Time / Full-Time : Full-Time Union Group : N / A Term of Position : 12 Month At Will / Just Cause : Just Cause Summary of Position : Plans and executes branding and recruitment strategies for the Office of Extended and International Operations (EIO), including 22 off-campus locations, online programs, and the Doctorate in Community College Leadership.
Manages the overall communication plan for each stage of the recruitment funnel. Serves prospective students through face-to-face and digital communications.
The anticipated start date of this position is June 2023. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed.
Position Type : Staff Required Education : Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Public Relations or related field.
Required Work Experience : Three years of successful full-time, demonstrated work experience in professional marketing.
Social media management in a professional organization.
Experience with CRM software.

Additional Education / Experiences to be Considered : Experience marketing higher education degree opportunities to a non-traditional, adult audience.
Master’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Public Relations or related field. Essential Duties / Responsibilities : Support the Director of Marketing and Admissions in the development and implementation of annual branding and recruitment campaigns.
Recruit prospective students and build relationships, strengthen partnerships with communities and EIO partner community colleges across Michigan.
Plan, organize, and execute EIO recruitment events, including, but not limited to, open houses, community college recruitment events, and information sessions.
Manage social media sites for EIO locations and identify valuable content that supports University objectives and goals.
Grow and engage community followers within current social networks and by identifying emerging social networks and platforms.
Supervise Marketing Communication Specialists, department interns, and student employees and foster a team environment.
Proofread, write, and edit copy for brochures, direct mail pieces, social media, email, print, digital advertisements, and outdoor media.
Utilize CRM system, Salesforce, to manage electronic communications and direct mail and report data on response rates and student demographics.
Maintain relationships and communicate with outside agencies, printers, media, students, vendors, etc., regarding projects, advertisements, payments, etc.
Perform media analysis and determine buys to support branding and recruitment campaign goals and other program promotion.
Advise and assist departments with effective promotional campaigns including advertising, public relations, social media, recruiting, events and media use.
Work collaboratively with University Advancement and Marketing and other university departments to ensure that marketing efforts are appropriately integrated and marketing presents a consistent brand and identity for the University.
Recommend new processes to help the creative team become more efficient.
Attend meetings in the absence of the Director of Marketing and Admissions.
Edit and maintain website as programs are added to EIO locations and create landing pages for marketing campaigns.
Assist in the development of campaign strategy when new programs are taken off-campus or to new EIO locations.
Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members.

9. Knowledge of demographic market differences of each city where Ferris EIO programs are offered.
10. Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of designated information.
11. Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite as well as Adobe Creative Suite.
12. Thrives in a deadline-driven environment, exhibits flexibility in juggling a high volume of short- and long-term projects and is capable of effectively prioritizing work.
