Position Summary :
Our team is currently looking for an experienced Fleet Technician to maintain our commitment to safety and customer service.
In this role, the successful candidate will perform truck repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards, run diagnostics on vehicles and work closely with other team members to meet company goals.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
Performs minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers.
Conducts regular preventative maintenance on service trucks, including inspection, tire rotation and oil changes.
Collaborates with repair team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs.
Maintains accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles.
Responsible for repairing, modifying and performing preventative maintenance on applicable fleet vehicles.
Responsible for all maintenance to the operation of equipment by completing all required preventive maintenance requirements.
Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical malfunctions.
Inspects fleet vehicles to ensure that all vehicles are DOT compliant including brake maintenance.
Completes all required daily reporting as required.
Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level.
Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Adheres to strict safe work practices to comply with all Company, DOT and OSHA regulations.
Requirements
High School Diploma

Job Qualifications
- individual must be able to carry out each duty and responsibility meeting FCC and Fleet Managers expectations.
- adhere to all FCC Safety Policies and Procedures
- adhere to all DOT and OSHA requirements.
- create repair orders with minimal guidance.
- perform PM Inspections
- perform non-safety related PM follow up repairs.
- perform non-safety related scheduled repairs.
- perform non-safety related DVIR repairs.
- meet or exceed posted standard repair times.
- assist with service calls when required.
- pick up parts when required.
- assist technicians with obtaining parts and tools for repairs.
- put away parts and supplies as they arrive.
- assist technicians or senior technicians when they are engaged in safety related repairs (teaching / learning opportunity)
- make hydraulic hoses for technicians (once trained)
- inspect tires, check tire pressures in the fleet and document (Second shift)
- check truck parking spots for leaks on the ground. (Second shift) Notify Supervisor
- degrease / pressure wash trucks when required.
- move trucks in and out of the shop when required.
- maintain a clean and organized maintenance facility.
- supervision / guidance required.
