In this role, you will work as part of a team to analyze transportation and heavy equipment accidents, mechanical failures, and the evaluation of the design and safety of consumer and industrial products.

You will be responsible for :
Managing projects from initiation to completion; communicating project updates to other team members, clients, and administrative staff;

- Identifying areas of, and performing, original research that furthers knowledge in the field of accident reconstruction / automotive technology
- Developing a specialized expertise in the automotive field such as the design and performance of existing or emerging automotive technology, or analysis and reconstruction of transportation accidents
- Traveling to perform site, scene, vehicle and equipment inspections
- Preparing written reports and presenting results / findings to diverse audiences
You will have the following skills and qualifications :

We are currently seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant for our Bellevue, WA office. In this role you will be part of an administrative team, responsible for performing a wide variety of diverse, administrative tasks to provide a high level of support for our professional consultants and corporate staff.
Qualified candidates who are selected to participate in our screening process for this role will be asked to take an editorial assessment via Microsoft Word prior to a potential formal interview.
Your responsibilities will include :
Consultant / Corporate Staff Support
- Preparing and processing expenses
- Setting up and running project conflict checks
- Drafting retention letters and statements of work
- Setting up new projects in our electronic system
- Printing and collating project binders
- Running ad-hoc project reports
- Assisting with accounts receivable collection, invoicing, purchasing
- Editing documents including formatting, grammar / spelling, general content review, and sometimes editing large (250+ page reports)

Senior Environmental Scientist/Engineer

We are currently seeking an Senior Environmental Scientist / Engineer for our Environmental and Earth Sciences Practice in Pasadena, CA.
In this role you will work as part of a team to provide high-level scientific support for projects centering on evaluation of contaminant transport and fate, water resources and water quality, and evaluation of the impacts of climate change.
The ideal candidate should be willing to expand their area of expertise into emerging environmental issues including, but not limited to contaminants of emerging concern, climate change impacts on environmental quality, and evolving policy related to water quality and waste management.
You will be responsible for :
- Analysis of contaminant transport and fate in surface water and / or groundwater systems
- Analyses of the impacts of climate change on hydrology (droughts, floods, snowpack, and water supply impacts)
- Synthesizing technical information and applying critical thinking to prepare and review reports and technical presentations
- Working cooperatively on projects with other members of the Environmental and Earth Sciences Practice and interdisciplinary groups from other Exponent practices as appropriate
- Developing client relationships and building business in the Environmental and Earth Sciences Practice
You will have the following skills and qualifications :
- Ph.D. in Civil, Environmental or Geologic Engineering, Hydrology, Hydrogeology, Earth Sciences, Limnology, Water Resources, or similar discipline
- Minimum 2 years-experience in consulting or other government agency (e.g., Army Corps of Engineers, FEMA, or flood control district)
- Experience with common modeling and GIS tools is desired (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, surface water-groundwater modeling tools, computational fluid dynamics models such as Delft-3D, etc.)
- Expertise in large dataset visualization in a program such as R / R Studio is required

The Center for Chemical Regulation & Food Safety is currently looking for an experienced Environmental Modeler for a Managing Scientist position in or reporting into our Washington, DC or Sacramento, CA office.
Remote work is an option. We are seeking candidates with environmental fate modeling and ecological risk assessment expertise that understand various regulatory models, practices, and policies.
The ideal candidate must have a strong knowledge of mathematical data analysis and principles of modeling, critical thinking and problem-solving ability, strong analytical skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities for this position include :
Conducting environmental modeling and ecological risk assessments for US EPA, and preferably various state authorities, such as CA DPR, NY DEC, and / or FL DACS.
In addition, experience in this area for Canada PMRA is desirable.
- Evaluating environmental modeling and ecological risk assessments conducted by regulatory authorities.
- Determining appropriate environmental data and associated inputs for use in ecological risk assessments; environmental models of focus must include those used in support of pesticide registration related actions in the US, and preferably also those used by various states for this objective.
- It is desirable, but not a necessity, that the candidate be similarly versed in the above areas in support of Canadian pesticide registration related actions.
- Providing in-depth and insightful interpretation of the modeling results including factors that affect the results and the ability to strategize and determine mitigation options for assessing alternative scenarios for consideration.
- Understanding US federal pesticide regulatory guidelines and policies, and the studies needed in support of such registrations, as well as those needed for such actions at the state level is preferable.
In addition, it is desirable, but not essential, that the candidate have such experience as it pertains to Canadian pesticide registration and / or US animal health.

Qualifications for this position include :

- At least 3 years of relevant experience within the pesticide industry with the aquatic and terrestrial models used by EPA's Office of Pesticide Programs (OPP) (e.
g., PWC, PFAM, BeeREX, T-TEX, SIP, STIR, TerrPlant, etc.) required
- In addition to the above, relevant experience with other regulatory authorities and the models that they use (e.g, LEACHP, PREM, etc.) preferred
- Project management experience including tracking of milestones and deliverables
- Strong working knowledge of relevant models, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are required
- Excellent communication, organization, and writing skills
