Senior Technical Animator / Rigger

What You'll Do

As a Senior Technical Animator for our new game project, you will play a crucial role in solving creature and character-related challenges and optimizing the character implementation pipeline. This is Epic's first largest scale project fully rigged and animated in Unreal Engine. You will help push the tools forward, develop new workflows, and shape future engine development.

Joining this team means you’re motivated to seek solutions to problems and work with other artists to make positive changes to improve character creation in Unreal Engine. The heart of this role is rigging, animation and pipeline tools for Epic’s latest game. 

In this role, you will

  • Rig characters, creatures, and other assets in Control Rig
  • Set up assets in Unreal Engine 5; including physics, blueprints
  • Work closely with animators to ensure a smooth delivery of high quality assets
  • Assist with pipeline tools and work with engine and project leads to continuously improve those engine tools

What we're looking for

  • Extensive experience rigging characters in Maya or Control Rig
  • A portfolio demonstrating rigging for a range of characters, bipeds, and creatures
  • Familiarity with the Unreal Engine’s Control Rig

What You'll Do

Epic Games seeks People Analytics Lead at its Boston, Massachusetts office to assist Human Resources and its recruiting teams. Responsible for providing data analytics support across all Human Resources and for serving as a consultant to business partners and leaders to enable data driven decision-making around Epic’s workforce.

In this role, you will 

  • Develop appropriate metrics for measuring success and build meaningful visualizations to better determine human resource trends, needs and improvements. 
  • Use data analysis and statistical tools to model, aggregate, and find insight in large data sets. 
  • Collaborate with Human Resources teams to collect and consolidate meaningful data, perform data analysis, identify patterns, summarize, and communicate findings through the use of visualizations tools and presentations.

  • Identify key risks and controls in line with IT governance, and privacy frameworks and methodologies.  An example of such frameworks would be: CCPA, SOX, COPPA, COSO, COBIT, GDPR, ISO, NIST, and ITIL.
  • Analyze issues identified during audits and assist in developing appropriate corrective action plans.  Conduct and report on information technology (IT) and operational audits in support of the Internal Audit plan and compliance requirements.
  • Work collaboratively and build relationships with stakeholders across the business, to identify IT risks and drive process improvements

What we're looking for

  • Specific degree not required, however any study in federal data compliance and/or computer science is a plus.  CISA, CISM, CISSP and/or Big 4/professional services/consulting experience preferred.
  • At least 8 years of IT audit, compliance, and risk experience for a company with a large consumer base and similar industry preferred.
  • At least 2+ years experience of supervisory or management.
  • In depth knowledge of local and federal compliance guidelines and best practices.
  • Hands on experience with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance in an enterprise environment, and/or Third Party Risk Management.
