Job Function :
This office and field position requires advanced knowledge in the areas of science and / or engineering obtained through specialized intellectual instruction and requires the ability to work independently on assignments requiring the consistent exercise of discretion and judgement to analyze, interpret or make deductions based on varying facts or circumstances.
This position is primarily responsible for planning, selecting, coordinating and implementing scientific and engineering services to fully address the scope of work on small scale environmental remediation and hazardous waste management projects in accordance with Company standards, regulatory criteria, and contractual obligations.
This position prepares the initial design concept and components of the final design of remedial systems to address potential risks to human health and the environment.

Responsibilities / Duties :
- Independently identifies, analyzes, and recommends engineering alternatives / designs and is able to identify and resolve complex engineering problems and develop conclusions and innovative recommendations
- Assists with the preparation and peer review of conceptual and final designs for simple, single-phase / single-media remedial systems under the supervision of other engineers
- Consult and collaborate work with Project Manager, Superintendent, as well as Health and Safety, Quality Control, Project Controls, Estimating, and Contracts representatives to properly plan, coordinate and ensure progress of deliverables per the approved budget and schedule
- Select and apply appropriate environmental technologies and cost-effective solutions to remediate or remove contaminants and meet project objectives
- Able to plan and execute moderately complex engineering projects or programs including design, contract administration, and implementation
- Plan, prepare and issue project and field submittals within approved budget including but not limited to pre-construction plans, design documents, testing plans, analytical reports, shop drawings, field submittals, operation / maintenance reports, closure reports and as-built records
- Apply industry standards of practice for selected technology, adhering to regulatory codes and standards, national / local standards, and company SOPs
- Identify, address and communicate technical and operational risks relevant to the selected project approach and technology to the Project Manager
- Participates in team project meetings
- Take a lead role in ensuring project safety - including conducting safety Net inspections, leading safety meetings and ensuring team participant awareness
- Author RFQs and assist in procurement and identification and evaluation of technical and specialty subcontractors, consultants, service providers, and materials to accomplish scope of work
- Report to the field to perform, inspect, and / or oversee fieldwork
- Oversee and review work of personnel, subcontractors and consultants to ensure compliance with approved plans and acceptable tolerances
- Ensure that appropriate and required testing is completed by qualified personnel using properly calibrated equipment
- Assure compliance with contract requirements and thoroughly understand the measurement & payment of each item of work
- With Project Controls support, ensure prompt preparation of the work progress estimates and track pay quantity records and maintain proper documentation
- Evaluate, review, monitor and document results and help make necessary decisions / adjustments to procedures
- Complete related documentation (field reports, logs, meeting minutes, online submittal sites) in a timely and accurate manner - including maintaining the project submittal log, all field inventory logs, and all daily reports
- As requested, investigate and recommend solutions in response to field changes, RFIs, and resolve issues related to the quality or applicability of installed equipment, and issues regarding system operations
- With Project Controls support record and track all RFIs, potential change orders (PCO), and support development of modification proposals and claims / request for equitable adjustment (REA)
Experience / Education :
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Management or related field from an accredited institution.
This includes a minimum of :
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.
- Engineering, quality, or environmental credential (e.g., EIT, CQA, EPI) - or - PE license or ability to attain during tenure in this position
- HAZWOPER 40 Hour Certification with current 8 Hour Refresher
- USACE Contractor Quality Management for Contractors certification
- A minimum of 3-6 years of experience required; two years or more of progressively responsible experience performing in-situ or ex-situ environmental systems design, field engineering support, or quality control on environmental remediation or hazardous waste management projects

Description / Position Summary
Position Location : Hybrid
This position is responsible for planning, leading, organizing and coordinating all aspects of project work from bid process through completion of project.
Ensure each project is completed in a safe manner according to the job scope as well as the safety plan. Successful Project Managers are team-oriented and highly motivated.
You must also have excellent communications skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of an organization.
Project managers are tasked with supervising and coordinating multiple projects and could be comprised of several crews made up of multiple technicians and operators.
The PM will be the primary liaison between customer and EQM operations in resolving service issues and :
- Responsible for all aspects of a project from quote and bid to demobilization of personnel and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient project completion.
- Cultivating quality relationships to retain clients and win referrals from new clients.
- Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
- Supports customers during the implementation of contracts and throughout the relationship; seeking customer feedback; taking responsibility for customer satisfaction and / or loyalty.
Qualifications
Educational requirements :
- Prefer Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Construction Management or related field or a minimum 3 years of industry related experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred but not required
Skills and experience :
- Demonstrated project management experience; to include but not limited to management of bids & proposals through the successful execution of the project.
- Ideal candidates will need to have experience in at least one of the areas of specialty- environmental remediation & construction, environmental regulatory compliance (water, waste and / or air) or emergency response services.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
- Proven well developed teamwork and collaboration skills including strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and team facilitation.
- Must be well versed in technical writing and verbal communication.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills to build positive relationships and handle conflict resolution.
- Has the ability to develop solutions to resolve account problems.
- Excellent analytical, planning and organization skills.
- Must have the ability to prioritize meeting multiple deadlines.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6, and / or MS Project scheduling software.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel & Word.
