$3k sign on bonus, $75,000-$100,000 based on experience and shift, quarterly safety and performance bonuses, referral bonuses, freight pay with hourly pay on breakdowns, shop time, and issues, freight and a half on Sundays, 5 days a week- home nightly.
Position Summary
We are looking for Fuel Transport Drivers to safely load, transport, and deliver fuel in an efficient manner to meet the client / customer needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following :
- Conduct pre-operation inspections, maintain cleanliness of cab, truck / trailer
- Perform basic preventative maintenance when required or necessary
- Document and report any tractor / trailer / truck and / or equipment concerns
- Plan routes according to delivery schedules / dispatched loads
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Load trailer following all safety best practices and terminal procedures, ensuring weight, size, designations are within regulations
- Safely transport bulk liquids from terminals or distribution centers to retail / industrial sites
- Observe safe driving practices, rules, and policies while on the road, exercising proper judgement for road, weather, and driving conditions
- Document and log work / rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel / toll receipts
- Input data into automated systems for each stage of the loading and unloading process
- Deliver / drop loads in a safe manner, following all applicable safety procedures (veeder root reading; stick tank; water check;
location, product, and fit confirmation prior to drop; vapor recovery; no smoking; no mobile device use; remain at drop point)
- Maintain spill response supplies and current knowledge of accident / spill response protocol
- Consistently follow checks and balances with extreme attention to detail to prevent overflows, product cross contamination, delivery drop errors, etc.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Maintain current Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with HazMat and Tanker Endorsements
- Maintain current DOT Medical Certificate
- 2+ years experience as a CDL truck driver, preferably with liquid / fuel / potential shifting loads
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record. Maximum of 2 points on license
- Ability to work and track industry hours in compliance with DOT / Motor Carrier HOS Regulations
- Hands-on experience with standard electronic industry equipment and software
- Able to read, write and speak the English language for customer and terminal interactions
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather and road conditions, schedule changes, etc.)
- Willingness to provide DOT required past employment verifications and submit to extensive background checks and drug tests, including but not limited to random testing.

The job is usually performed outdoors in a setting that includes transport hauling scenarios. Activities include extended periods of sitting and frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, grasping, squatting, climbing.
Hearing and vision within normal ranges are essential for driving, loading / unloading, normal conversations, to receive terminal and delivery information and to prepare or inspect documents.
Requires good manual dexterity for the use of fuel hoses and related equipment. Regular lifting of 30 to 50 lbs is expected throughout each work day;
exertion of pushing and pulling up to 30 to 50 lbs. of force is also required regularly throughout each work day. Drivers must have a good sense of balance for daily job tasks.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to travel (80%) therefore exposure to moving mechanical parts, vehicles, and common transportation related elements is present.
