Server
As a server at Emmaline you truly dictate our success. You are our most important and valuable asset. It is without doubt your character, work ethic and personality will define who we are and how our guests perceive us.
You help curate and maintain our culture. Our guests characterize us as a whole because of how you treat them and theirs.
You have absolute control over your personal success by taking ownership of our restaurant, clearly understanding that you are the face of our business.
I repeat, this is your restaurant. Every interaction is critical. Every guest matters. Every day and night it is your responsibility to be "on" for our guests.
The restaurant's energy often starts and ends with you. Your genuine approach, patience and kindness is disarming, allowing your care, suggestions and attitude to put you in instant control of an experience they have willingly surrendered to you.
Our guests come to count on you to help entertain their friends / family and / or clients. They call you by name as you do in response and from the beginning.
You are often the best and most certain part of their day. They have utter confidence that you will recognize them, make them feel at home and remember the things that matter to them - from dietary needs they need not repeat to how their kids like their ice cream sundae to a cocktail (with two limes) or a wine that is their go-to.
You have the great responsibility and reward of feeding someone - providing sustenance and joy in things that bring back fond memories or just taste so good they can't do without them.
You instantly have the gratification of making someone's life better, in just one meal. As a simple extension of that, you also have the great responsibility to see to their well-being when they are near over-indulgence.
Doing the right thing is not always the easiest, but again, you are in control of their lives for this brief time they are under your care.
What you do as a server at Emmaline should be somewhat emotionally fulfilling, just as financial success that will sure follow is necessary.
If joining a professional team where culture is king, food and wine and cocktails a passion, fun always on the agenda and being a go-to neighborhood spot full of great people fits several of your motivations for being a server, then this is the place for you to call home.
