Associate Social Media Manager, EA SPORTS Portfolio

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the EA SPORTS portfolio social media strategy.
  • Collaborate with managers across the Communications team, MarComm, Brand, and game teams to ensure execution of EA SPORTS Portfolio’s tactics / campaign beats.
  • Develop creative engaging social media content for deployment for EA SPORTS Portfolio’s social media channels.
  • For HD titles (NHL, UFC and PGA), the social media manager will partner with the Community Managers on influencer program.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience as a social media manager
  • Experienced publishing content across different platforms using social scheduling tools such as Sprout and Airtable
  • Knowledge and passion of video games and sports entertainment
  • Written and verbal communication skills in English, along with solid organizational and task management abilities

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

  • California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento) : $78,500 - $119,650
  • New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo) : $73,150 - $119,650
  • Jersey City, NJ : $84,750 - $119,650
  • Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs) : $73,150 - $97,500
  • Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane) : $73,150 - $105,250

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby (following 1 year of service), medical / dental / vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees.

Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.

Finance Manager

ROLE OVERVIEW :

You will partner with internal Mobile FP&A, Commercial and Mobile Studio Leadership teams and report to the Director of FP&A.

What You’ll Do : Business Partnering

Business Partnering

  • You will partner with key leadership to help deliver the long-term strategy
  • Drive and assist teams to provide timely and accurate reporting and analysis to assist with decision-making and value creation.
  • Influence important decisions by understanding the big picture combined with providing underlying deep financial analysis and insight
  • Prepare and hold business reviews for EA’s leadership team with clear and actionable presentation materials

Financial Forecasting and Reporting

  • Manage Mobile Platform consolidation (Revenue, Opex, Capex, and Headcount)
  • Collaborate with Commercial team on long range, annual and quarterly revenue forecasts by title
  • Lead financial reviews with budget owners to develop annual plans and subsequent forecast updates
  • Guide analysis to highlight variance drivers and identify opportunities to mitigate risk and improve performance
  • Responsible for purchase order approvals, budgeted spend tracking, monthly close activities, and headcount management.

Set control processes in place to manage spending and headcount within plan.

Monthly and Quarterly Close

  • Manage all close activities for assigned departments including identifying and preparing accrual and reclass entries to ensure precise accounting of known activities
  • Ensure compliance with EA’s policies and procedures.

Drive FP&A Excellence

  • Help build and retain our world-class FP&A team.
  • Identify and lead initiatives to improve, standardize and automate forecasting and reporting tools and processes

Preferred Experience and Technical Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA or CPA preferred
  • Minimum 6 years of related financial experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting and general GAAP knowledge
  • Excellent MS Excel (can perform complex functions) and PowerPoint expertise required, knowledge in Power BI and Oracle preferred
