HS Diploma / GED required. HHA Certification also required. Full time Monday - Friday 8 : 00 am - 4 : 00 pm (36.25 hrs / wk) with a weekend / holiday rotation at PACE supported housing.

Personal Care Assistant position to assist Neighborhood PACE Day Health Center participants with personal care, restorative rehabilitation, meals, escort to medical appointments, and group and individual activities.

Actively contributes to the operations of the Day Center by contributing ideas for the activities program and offering suggestions to improve daily operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Greets participants upon arrival and helps them to get settled for the day. Assists with serving coffee and snack on arrival and with noon meal service and cleanup.

Provides supervision and encouragement when needed.

  • Attends daily morning report.
  • Reports participant concerns to appropriate staff members.
  • Prepares participants for departure in the afternoon by assisting with clothing and escorting to the vans.
  • Accompanies participants on the van to ensure safety during transport when necessary.
  • Assists participants with ADLs per assignment, as defined in care plan and as needed, for example when a participant requests assistance with toileting.
  • Accompanies participants to appointments as assigned.
  • Carries out simple treatments under the direction of nursing staff, including simple catheter care, skin checks during personal care.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Certification as Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide.
  • A minimum of one year of experience working with the elderly or other frail populations.
  • Care and respect for frail elders.
  • Creativity and confidence in leading group activities.

Facilities Space Planner

Assist with the overall space planning for various Health Center Departments. Review and process space requests and space assignments.

Develop and coordinate workspace reservation program.

Formulate and develop plans regarding space management and planning. Provide space-planning expertise to administrators, committees, and departments by analyzing requests for space, maintain space database, analyze space utilization and prepare space reports.

Oversee the selection, development and use of workspace reservation software to assist employees with reserving designated workspace, parking and property access cards for in person attendance.

Full time position, Monday-Friday, 8 : 00-5 : 00pm, but may require flexibility depending on the needs of the department.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Design, Visual Merchandising, Business or related field.
  • Four years of experience in space planning, such as facilities space planning, pre-design activities, use of space management database, data analytics and statistical analysis, and / or experience directly relevant to duties being performed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY :

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, oral and written skills.
  • Must be proficient at compiling various amounts of data, preparing insight and recommendations for use of space.
  • Proficiency in space planning software, Excel and other applications related to space assignment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and strong organizational skills is preferred.

Description :

Seeking a Medical Assistant for busy OBGYN / Specialties Department. Medical Assistants are important members of the clinical care team.

They work in close partnership with clinical staff. Their primary function is to manage efficient patient flow and to be available to assist clinical staff as needed.

Medical Assistants are responsible for department-specific tasks in accordance with their training. Where appropriate they are responsible for preparing the patient and environment for the visit and / or procedure.

Medical Assistants are responsible for maintaining non-pharmaceutical supplies and equipment. The Medical Assistant assumes a range of patient care responsibilities dealing with the physical and emotional aspects of department-specific patient age groups.

Medical Assistants are supervised by licensed nursing personnel. Excellence in practice . Schedule : Monday Friday, 8 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM, may include evening rotation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Vital signs.
  • Pulse oximetry.
  • Use of 02 equipment.
  • Obtaining EKG’s.
  • Laboratory studies such as glucometer, urine dip stick urinalysis, and others as requested.
  • Cleans and wraps instruments for sterilization.
  • Follows procedure for operation of autoclave and properly documents each load.

Qualifications and requirements :

  • HS Diploma / GED and a graduate of a Certified Medical Assistant program.
  • New Grad Medical Assistants welcomed
  • One year of Medical Assisting experience preferred.
  • One year of Customer Service experience.
  • Excellent oral, listening, and written communication skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Bilingual skills (English / Spanish) preferred.
