Job Summary

Location : River Rouge, MI

Performs warehouse processes that support Coke Plant with inventoried parts and supplies. Work is performed under direct supervision with results reviewed through the achievement of set goals and adherence to policies and procedures.

Key Accountabilities

  • Performs Warehouse processes to service Coke Plant. That includes shipping and receiving, inventory cycle counting, and kitting parts to fulfill work request
  • Responsible for participating in safety activities to meet or exceed organizational goals and expectations
  • Maintains interpersonal relationships with individuals both external and internal to the organization
  • Be an active participant of developing and maintaining a culture of professionalism
  • Responsible for following all rules, policies, or expectations
  • Responsible for environmental compliance
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • A valid driver's license
  • Manufacturing experience in an operating discipline preferred, to provide the following :
  • Operate heavy equipment to load and unload inventory
  • Time management skills and ability to delegate
  • Proficiency in Maximo, SAP or other computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), and Microsoft Office programs
  • Problem solving skills
  • Strong safety experience
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere
  • Demonstrated capability to achieve results through people, technology, and processing equipment
  • Good knowledge of the assigned area(s) of responsibility
  • Ability to function within a matrix organization where employees report to both a functional leader and a business leader
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with both a functional and business leader
  • Must be goal oriented
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor, coworkers, and management

Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions, including wet and / or humid conditions, and extreme heat and cold. Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and / or machinery and burns.

Occasionally exposed to vibration and fumes or airborne particles which will require the use of personal protective equipment including respirators or self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), flame retardant clothing, etc.

Exposed to protected and unprotected heights, which requires the use of a personal fall protection system (harness / lifeline).

The noise level in the work environment may occasionally go above the threshold, requiring PPE.

JOB SUMMARY

DTE's environmental markets team trades in renewable energy, carbon, and renewable fuels markets across the U.S. The Environmental Markets Analyst would be responsible for research, analysis, and interpretation of data from across these markets.

The analyst will the lead the design and maintenance of market models and other programmatic tools designed to support investment and risk analysis and trade execution.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Conduct research and analysis of renewable energy, fuels, and carbon market data and trends.
  • Design, build, and maintain financial, trading, and supply-demand models for various markets; create forecasts to identify trading opportunities and support investment decisions.
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify possible market scenarios and integrate these as sensitivity analyses into various market forecasts.
  • Work with Operations, Settlements, and Risk teams to maintain and improve proprietary portfolio management programs and tools.
  • Present analysis and market insights to portfolio managers, management, and risk teams; formats include written, verbal, and PowerPoint.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • At least two years of professional experience in renewable fuels, renewable energy, and / or carbon markets
  • Demonstrable proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred :

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.
  • Proficiency in R, Python, SQL, VBA, or other statistical languages.
  • Thorough understanding of North American carbon markets, including, but not limited to, supply and demand, logistics, regulations and operations.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced dynamic commodity market environment, where there are often time constraints and time sensitive deadlines.
  • Other Requirements :
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels, both within and outside the company.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.
