POSITION TITLE : Warehouse Worker
LOCATION : Pharr, TX
FLSA : Non-Exempt Hire Pay : $ 8.00 Classification : Full Time
JOB DESCRIPTION :
The duties and responsibilities are all geared toward tasks involving physical labor. Manually moving materials, while also maintaining a clean work environment.
JOB SUMMARY :
- Performs physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
- Using hands and arms to handle, install, position, move materials, and manipulate things.
- Move materials, equipment, or supplies.
- Receive information or instructions for performing work assignments.
- Review work orders or schedules to determine operations or procedures
- Adjust, connect, or disconnect wiring, piping, tubing, and other parts, using hand or power tools.
- Assemble and maintain physical structures, using hand or power tools.
- Transfer tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from workstations and other areas.
- Clean facilities or work areas.
- Performs other duties as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Effective interpersonal / communication skills.
- Ability to understand written and verbal communications.
- Ability to understand verbal instructions.
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
- Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Ability to lift, push / pull and manipulate heavy objects up to 55 pounds
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED :
Receives supervision from Supervisor. The position has formally assigned supervisory responsibility and authority. Must complete jobs without constant supervision.
WORKING CONDITIONS :
The principal duties of this position are performed in an indoor and outdoor environment, involving physical work.
ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY :
This position is subject to pre-employment drug testing. DLP Staffing has a Drug Free Workplace Policy that includes Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and / or Reasonable Suspicion Testing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
- High School Diploma or GED
