Responsibilities :
The Welder will report to the Rig Superintendent and will be responsible for safely and efficiently fabricating, cutting, modifying or repairing metal and steel devices, structures and piping as directed.
Primary Responsibilities :
The Welder may :
- Layout, cut and weld metal components as specified by drawings, welding diagrams, work orders, or verbal directions.
- Fabricate new structures and repair damaged equipment and structures
- Maintain good housekeeping in work area
- Participate fully in all Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives and safety programs and in pre-tour weekly safety meetings
- Follow Diamond Offshore Global Excellence Management System (G.E.M.S.)
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications : Basic
Basic
- At least 18 years of age
- Possess or able to obtain a valid Transportation Worker's Identification Credential (TWIC). Any candidate selected for this position will not be allowed to begin work without a card in hand or proof from the TSA of a card "In Production" or "In Transit.

- 5 or more years of experience as a Welder / Fitter
- Able to obtain ABS 6G welding certification
- Able to obtain GTAW or SMAW 90ksi on 4130 material grades
Preferred
- Possess or able to obtain a passport
- Possess ABS 6G GTAW Welding Certification
