Qualifications :
- Must have a Bachelor’s and / or a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an Accredited Program.
- Occupational Therapy License (Required).
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must demonstrate competency in therapy treatment and evaluation principles, techniques, and materials and equipment utilization.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of state and federal accreditation.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Evaluate, screen, and treat facility patients / residents who are in need for Occupational Therapy services.
- Review medical chart and screen prior to completing evaluation to determine patients need for services and ability to benefit from skilled services.
- Perform patient’s / resident’s evaluation under physician order and develop a treatment plan in accordance with patient’s needs.
- I mplement treatment plan through direct treatment, as well as education of treatment staff including therapists and other members of team involved in treatment plan.
- Provide necessary supervision for Occupational Therapy Assistants.
- Maintain professional growth and development by participating in continuing education programs and other approved learning experiences.
- Maintain confidentiality of all medical record, facility, and rehab related information.
- Maintain accurate billing information in accordance with facility procedures daily.
- Attend / Lead interdisciplinary meetings as appropriate to relay clinical findings and make recommendations to other members of rehab team.
- Comply with documentation requirements of the rehab department and facility.
- Conduct staff / family training and education when appropriate by formal and informal in-services, as well as consultations.

Regional Director of Finance - Long Term Care
The CommuniCare Family of Health Care Companies is currently recruiting a Regional Director of Finance to supervise business office policies, billing, collection, and other related administrative duties associated with CommuniCare's Nursing Facilities located in Northern West Virginia .
The position must function as a team member, team leader, and consultant to ensure that work is accomplished and quality services are delivered.
The Regional Director of Finance role will involve travel between buildings in the Northern West Virginia region.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 5 years previous experience with nursing home billing required.
- Must possess thorough understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, Private Insurance and Managed Care billing, collection of policies, and processes.
- Must have the ability to make independent decisions regarding billing, collection, and other related matters.
- Must have good interpersonal skills, including the ability to oversee staff.
- Previous supervisory experience required.
- Must have experience utilizing computers, including familiarity with spreadsheets, written analysis, and automated computer systems processing.
- Must have good verbal communication skills, including the ability to discuss matters of non-compliance with non-financial staff.
JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures associated with admissions, billing, collection and other related administrative duties.
- Oversee facility Business Office Manager (BOM) activities to ensure timely, accurate, and complete billing.
- Perform detailed accounts receivable reviews with facility staff. Participate in other A / R meetings as needed.
- Assist in identification of obstacles to collection goals and help address them; recommend resources needed to achieve desired results.
- Assist Executive Director (ED) / BOM in developing plans to improve results.
- Monitor timeliness of closing activities; ensure timely close, including the coordination of additional resources to complete a close when necessary (i.
e. missing staff, open positions).
- Review clearing accounts to ensure accurate month-end closing and continued smooth functioning of A / R processing.
- Review and approve write-offs prepared by BOM after approval by ED
- Supervise training of staff, including development of BOM. Assist and develop an annual training plan to improve knowledge and ability of assigned BOM's.
Work with corporate staff to develop overall trainign program for company.
Perform audit activities with respect to the following systems : Resident Trust Funds, Medicare regulatory requirements (ABN letters, cut letters, triple checks), Segregation of duties, Continued function of management processes (including pending meetings, collection blitz reviews)
