Coastal Pacific Food Distributors (CPFD) has a Full-Time Warehouse Supervisor open in the Fife, WA. This position provides first level supervision for all Receiving activities in the Distribution Center.

Works closely with Manager, Logistics, and Shipping teams to coordinate and support warehousing and distribution functions.

Assigns staff based on schedule and volume, maintains production and work performance standards, and resolves problems as they occur to maximize efficiency.

Compensation and Benefits :

  • Salary range of pay : $70K to 75K

Roles & Responsibilities :

Directs, controls, and coordinates the receiving function on an assigned shift. Assigns staff as needed to maintain schedule, monitors job performance, and resolves problems as they occur.

Meets production and service standards.

  • Monitor daily operations to identify area for improvement. Review and identify causes of production variances and take immediate steps to resolve problems.
  • Assists management in improving operations. Works closely with the work teams to identify areas for improvement, develops improved processes, and makes recommendations to management.
  • Establish work priorities and approves recommendations. Takes every opportunity to establish and maintain teamwork between receiving teams.
  • Coordinates Receiving activities with Logistics, Scheduling, Shipping, and Maintenance teams. Works closely with these departments to make adjustments in scheduling and staffing to meet member requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with all company and government safety and sanitation requirements.
  • Keeps management informed of progress and proposed changes in the operation.

Job Requirements :

Education : This position requires a high school diploma with additional supervisory training courses. In the absence of formal education, experience that is equivalent and directly related may be substituted.

Experience : This position requires 3 or more year’s related supervisory experience with a proven track record in warehouse and distribution center operations.

Position must also have two to three years experience in the Receiving function in a conventional or mechanized warehouse.

Knowledge : Position requires knowledge of all warehouse equipment and processes, warehouse management systems, refrigerated and / or grocery warehouse products.

Position requires knowledge of personal computers and associated business software (MS-Word, Excel, and Access preferred).

Skills and Abilities : Position requires a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of management and staff.

Good team building and facilitation skills, demonstrated by the performance of assigned teams, are also required.

Coastal Pacific Food Distributors has an opening for a Warehouse Clerical role in our Fife, WA Location. Primarily responsible for efficient coordination of receiving procedures, telephone communications, dry and perishable cross dock procedures, traffic control, and shipping procedures.

Schedule : Monday-Friday; 2 pm to 10 : 30 pm.

Compensation and Benefits :

  • Range of pay is from $18.00 to $20.00 / hr.

Roles & Responsibilities :

  • Check in and sign out drivers for inbound and outbound loads
  • Make telephone appointments in a professional and courteous manner for inbound carriers and coordinate receiving schedules
  • Coordinate dry and perishable cross dock orders and work with warehouse leads to ensure efficient completion of all cross dock functions a required
  • Review outbound shipping and develop daily workloads based on the shipping schedule for warehouse labor
  • Monitor all facets of order selecting and warehouse forklift operations during work shift to ensure a continuous flow of productivity
  • Maintain container inventory for outbound loads designated for overseas shipment
  • Prepare and print delivery document packages
  • Other duties as needed and assigned

Job Requirements :

Education : High School Graduate or GED required

Experience : Approximately 1 to 2 years’ experience related to warehouse operations

Knowledge : Basic computer knowledge including proficiency in Dallas, DSS, and MS Office Work and Excel
