Principle Accountabilities

  • Management of staff includes hiring, training, assigning & reviewing work of staff
  • Prepares and oversees the department or units budget
  • Direct & manage the accts payable staff to provide accurate & timely processing of vendor disbursements
  • Maintain internal controls & procedures to protect CME's assets & determine new controls or procedures that address the growth of CME
  • Interact regularly w / leadership as well as other departments
  • Responsible for assimilation of accts payable metrics, approval of journal entries, acct reconciliations & month-end close

Skills and Software Requirements

  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Workday experience is a plus
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Strong decision making skills

Lead IT Business Analyst Description

Lead IT Business Analyst

The Markets Technology team is looking for a Lead IT Business Analyst to provide details analysis for CME's Order Entry, Matching and Market Data systems.

The Markets Analysis team works on the core trade execution systems that power our electronic trading platforms CME Globex, EBS Direct and BrokerTec Stream.

Our systems need to be both low latency and have high reliability while continuously delivering new features. The IT Business Analyst role works in concert with the business, operations, development, and testing teams to provide creative solutions that meet the needs of our business and maintain our performance profile.

The analyst will perform execution delivery activities like impact analysis, requirements discovery, scenario creation, test distillation, functional and logical design, as well as any other activity that empowers the team to deliver.

Our primary goal is to create shared understanding and pressure test ideas while getting new features for ready for production.

Typical responsibilities :

  • Leading elicitation, discovery, prototyping, and technical business analysis activities
  • Performing project analysis work such as detailed requirement build out, user story analysis, and messaging / interface specifications
  • Contributing to the product vision and impact assessment for new projects and enhancements
  • Developing acceptance criteria to support our automated testing and behavior driven development (BDD)
  • Establishing trusted working relationships with your stakeholders, delivery teams and sponsors
  • Creating data design, flows and mappings betweenponents
  • Partnering with DEV and QA on solution assessment and validation
  • Contributing to and managing an ever-evolving knowledge base

You'd be a good fit if you have :

  • 6+ years of business systems analysis, architecture, or related experience
  • Experience in product development, SDLC, Agile methodologies and practices
  • Excellent written and verbalmunication abilities
  • Prior experience in leading and implementing technology based projects
  • The ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization as well as external customers and vendors
  • Great facilitation, negotiation and influence skills
  • Excellent problem solving thought process and mentality
  • B.A. or B.S. in business, information systems,puter science or similar degree. Relevant experience could also substitute

Great, but not required :

  • Experience in Financial Markets (e.g. Futures, Options, Cash, OTC, exchange-based, FCM, brokerage, middle and back office, private equity, proprietary trading)
  • Knowledge of financial products, electronic trading, order management, market data, clearing, or post-trade processing
  • Understanding of acceptance test driven development (ATDD), behavior driven development (BDD) or domain specific language (DSL) automated testing
  • Experience with visual modeling, message design + flow, process modeling, and / or data modeling tools (FIX, SBE, GPB, FAST, XML)
  • Knowledge of relational databases, XML, JSON, object oriented programming languages, cloud based integrations and tools
  • Prior experience using Atlassian products (e.g. JIRA, Confluence)
