CASINO PORTER - EVS
Overview
It is the primary responsibility of the EVS Casino Porter to maintain the cleanliness of the property, both indoors and outdoors including working in high traffic areas, caring for the floors, carpets, walls, ceilings, facades, and cleaning in areas that include but are not limited to, walkways, casino, restrooms, restaurants, retail stores, office areas, and entrances to property.
This position is detail oriented with excellent communication skills. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures. Other duties as assigned.
Specific Job Functions :
- Responsible for practicing, supporting, and always promoting the Company and Departmental Service Standards.
- Cleans and Details any and all areas from the floor to as high as you can reach.
- Cleaning will require prolonged standing, bending, stooping, reaching.
- Will be required to lift up to 50 lbs. and be able to push or pull up to 150 lbs.
- Assists in maintaining adequate supplies in supply closets by replenishing supplies as necessary.
- Cleans and Polishes marble, brass, tile, vinyl flooring using varying techniques, chemicals and equipment.
- Cleans and Dusts Slot Machines.
- Properly uses and disposes of chemicals when conducting area cleaning.
- Maintains equipment and supplies in an orderly manner in accordance with instructions.
- Cleans and details restrooms including sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning urinals and toilets, wiping down walls and mirrors carpets with proper chemicals, and vacuuming.
- Vacuums carpets, carpet mats, dusts shelves and cabinets, wipes down walls, baseboards, and cleans windows and mirrors as necessary.
- Provides detail cleaning of the public areas, brass, carpet corners, slot chair bases, table game bases, gum removal and other detail work as assigned.
- Maintains equipment and supplies in an orderly manner as instructed by Supervisor.
- Removes trash from assigned areas.
- Reports maintenance needs to the Supervisor.
- Reports emergency repairs or situations to Supervisor and / or Security immediately.
- Reports any suspicious activity.
- Provides directions, answers questions and offers quality guest service to both our internal and external guests.
- Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities / Qualifications
- At least six months experience in a related cleaning field required
- Previous experience with a large hotel preferred
- At least six months guest contact experience
- Knowledge of general cleaning supplies
- Communicate effectively in English both verbally and written forms
ASSISTANT EXECUTIVE STEWARD
Overview
It is the primary responsibility of the Assistant Executive Steward Stewards to coordinate with the Chef’s Department and Executive Steward to ensure each department has required equipment for daily operations.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.
Specific Job Functions :
- Delegate tasks to department and ensure job requirements are completed correctly and in a timely manner
- Assist the Executive Steward in phases of the department operations
- Work closely with the Chef’s department and all room managers in order to assure quick and efficient operations of each restaurant outlet
- Assist with on-the-job training of stewarding employees
- Perform walk through inspections of kitchen areas and complete noted checklists
- Communicate job assignments to stewarding employees in English and Spanish
- Maintain employee records, attendance tracking sheets, checklist and daily reports
- Apply proper disciplinary action to line employees and complete required documentation
- Order chemicals and maintain necessary inventory and supplies
- Maintain inventory and record of hollowware, silverware, glassware and other equipment
- Ensure operations follow Health, Safety and Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations
- Maintain a working knowledge of Banquet Set-up and banquet function skills
- Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department
Responsibilities / Qualifications
- At least two years of supervisory experience required
- A working knowledge of kitchens, dish machines, silver- plated equipment care and polishing, and chemical awareness
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other related computer programs a must
- Must have a professional appearance and demeanor
HOTEL SALES COORDINATOR
Overview
It is the primary responsibility of the Hotel Sales Coordinator to assist management with coordinating multiple hotel services for groups.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices and procedures.
Specific Job Functions :
- Answer, screen and direct incoming calls
- Enter inquiries into Daylight
- Merge documents, proposals, and contracts from Daylight
- Turnover and maintain Definite Files
- Process Credit Applications, which include completing the Estimated Charges Spreadsheet, Estimated Room and Tax Spreadsheet, faxing credit application and estimated charges to client, and forwarding completed application to credit department
- Collect payments and forward to the appropriate department
- Process rooming list cover sheets and send add / change forms to room reservations
- Create attrition letters
- Complete group resumes
- Process amenities to be delivered to guests
- Send thank you letters and post-con questionnaires to departed groups
- Complete special projects as requested by Sales staff
- Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department
Responsibilities / Qualifications
- One year prior clerical experience required
- Computer literate with proficiency in Word and Excel and a working knowledge of Daylight preferred
- Excellent customer service skills required
SLOT AMBASSADOR
Overview
It is the primary responsibility of the Slot Ambassador to effectively market, evaluate, recruit, establish and maintain a professional relationship with slot casino guests and to provide specialized attention to high-end guests.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.
Specific Job Functions :
- Market and recruit new guests to property
- Establish and maintain a professional relationship with repeat guests to the property
- Research and evaluate guest accounts using Players Club and / or other software programs
- Issue guest complimentary items in accordance with departmental and property standards
- Research and resolve guest issues effectively and professionally
- Protect the confidentiality of Company documents and files under immediate control
- Greet guests, answer questions and be an informational resource regarding guest inquiries
- Monitor assigned area and attend to guest’s needs including jackpot payments, providing a comfortable experience for guests by answering basic property questions, provide information regarding rooms, restaurants and entertainment for the guests
- Perform minor machine repairs
- Accurately maintain a Cash Pouch involving Company funds
- Verify and ID guests to ensure players are of the legal gaming age
- Provide guests with Players Club information and solicit new members
- Assist guests with inquiries and problems regarding Players Club and the Casino
- Promptly answer in-bound telephone calls
- Assist guests and Casino Hosts with requests in a professional and timely manner
- Keep up to date on Slot Marketing activities and events at the property
- Input player information into the Players Club system
- Maintain a positive and friendly attitude toward guests as well as other employees
- Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department
Responsibilities / Qualifications
- Gaming experience preferred
- Must have strong organizational skill
- Ability to handle and cope with stress well and remain calm under pressure a must
- Must have, or be able to obtain, Gaming Registration
- A working knowledge of basic computer systems and Casino systems preferred
- Excellent public relations, communication and speaking skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor a must
