Position Summary :
Provide prompt and accurate service to create an enjoyable drinking experience for guests in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.

Essential Job Functions :
- Take beverage orders from serving staff and guests seated at the bar
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks that are consistent with the restaurant’s standard ingredient recipes, and practice prudent portion control
- Stock, prepare, cure and store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality
- Monitor guests at the bar for proper identification
- Adhere to all state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests;
ensure all laws are being followed
- Perform tasks related to cash handling (e.g., making change, verifying validity of charges, recording charges, and ensuring vouchers are properly executed) in order to balance all monies
- Clean and sterilize glasses, utensils and bar equipment
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar
- Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area
- Attend scheduled associate meetings and offer suggestions for improvement
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum Position Qualifications :
- 6 months’ bartending experience
- 21 years of age or older
- Strong knowledge of state and federal liquor laws
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster cooperation and work in a collaborative team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with team and guests
- Excellent basic mathematical skills
- Ability to frequently reach, bend, stoop and lift objects up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work in a standing and walking position for an entire shift

Essential Job Functions
- Provide a warm, friendly greeting and service to all guests for the duration of their visit
- Provide menus and answer questions about the menu options
- Communicate regularly with guests throughout their visit to ensure their needs are met
- Anticipate guests' needs and provide prompt service
- Remove used tableware between courses
- Perform opening and closing duties
- Comply with federal, state, local and company food safety guidelines, food handling guidelines and rules governing sanitation and the cleanliness / maintenance of kitchen / dining room areas
- Maintain a professional demeanor, ensuring uniform and personal appearance is presentable and reflective of the company brand
- Maintain contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff and guests to ensure that dining details are handled properly and guests' concerns are addressed
- Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, managers and guests
- Coordinate with and assist fellow associates to meet guests' needs and support the operation of the restaurant
