RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Assist with loading trucks with products in a way that complies with the client's standards.
  • Confirm trucks are loaded accurately, as per Account Manager’s request.
  • Ensure product is rotated on trucks and in warehouse in accordance with expiration dates.
  • Properly clean and repackage product as set forth by client standards.
  • Receiving deliveries and ensure the proper warehouse rotation of product
  • Assist Warehouse Manager with daily inventory to ensure accurate counting and tracking inventory on trucks and in the warehouse.
  • Ensure nightly loading process complies with client’s policies and standards
  • Assist & inspect in the proper cleaning, repackaging and introducing repackaged product back into circulation within client’s standards
  • Assist in the disposal of damage / out-of-date product
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS :

Mechanical design engineer for a RAD-IRAD program.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE :

Position requires an experienced engineer capable of leading technical feasibility studies, conceptual design trades, and cost benefit analyses related to packaging new subsystems and structures into a missile to reduce cost, improve performance, and / or enable component commonality with other missiles.

Detailed design, drawing creation, and prototype development also required. In addition to RAD-IRAD initiatives, the selected candidate will work some TDP updates for parent program New Platform I&T test vehicles.

Candidate must be proficient in the use of Catia V5 surfacing, have excellent verbal, presentation, GD&T, and written skills.

Effort requires ability to perform design trade studies, tolerance analysis, evaluating cost, weight, structural / thermal benefits.

Candidate should be able to work with a diverse team of internal organizations, managing supplier input, and developing internal documentation to meet contractual TDP delivery expectations.

Travel to Troy or suppliers may be required on an as needed basis. Individual should be familiar with mechanical hardware fabrication approaches and techniques.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Set up and operate automatic inert gas arc welding machines to do such welding as longitudinal and circumferential welding of assemblies.

Layout locations and make own setups as required.

Weld Company products by certified processes maintaining critical alignment tolerances and improvising tooling and holding fixtures as required.

Manually fusion weld various metals for fabrication of tooling, and maintenance, repair and assembly of plant machinery, equipment and buildings.

Must pass and maintain all required certifications including civil code, ASME, and customer requirements to perform assigned work utilizing the following welding processes : shielded metal arc, gas, tungsten inert gas (TIG), metal inert gas (MIG), and plasma.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Must be capable of passing Journeyman Certification as well as other certifications as required.
  • Must be capable of passing an appearance test (root pass and two fill passes on stainless duct weld sample in 6G)
  • Must have a proven safety record and experience with PPE.
  • Experience reading, comprehending and using planning and drawings to meet required specification requirements.
  • Three years' G.T.A.W. experience welding hard alloys (stainless steel, titanium Inconel and / or steel).
  • Fabrication / Welding schooling or equivalent can be substituted for years of experience on a 2 to 1 basis. 1.5 years of school 3 years' experience.
  • Experience welding duct assemblies (or similar) and controlling weld distortion and shrinkage.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS :

  • Prior experience welding Rocket engines and or propulsion systems.
  • Prior experience using mixed torch gases (95Ar / 5H2, Argon Helium mixes).
  • Prior certification in In-Place-Tube, Automatic or Orbital Welding.
