YOUR ROLE

If so, we have an opportunity that would allow you to supervise the daily operations of the Logistics Department including document preparation and traffic coordination required to correctly process inbound consolidations in a cost-efficient manner and within defined standards.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Supervise and provide control oversight for all department activities. Provide training and quality management activities to assigned staff.

Conduct annual performance reviews for all staff within department and address all employee performance problems promptly and directly in accordance with personnel policies.

• Develop and provide excellent service to internal and external customers.
• Set up files for all documents and records relevant to the consolidation.
• Receive, review and process inbound documentation for an assigned base of accounts. Provide written quotations as requested by customers.

Ensure Customer Profile information is entered and updated in the system.

Manage pre-alerts daily to determine whether freight is arriving as expected. Follow-up with carriers to confirm arrival time and notify customer of status.

Ensure documents reach branch within one working day of freight arrival.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Education and Experience : High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Finance or related discipline preferred or equivalent combination of work experience and education.

Minimum 4 years related experience. Minimum 1 year of supervisory or lead experience. Minimum 3 years of industry experience preferred.

• Skills : Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using units of US and / or international currency, weight, volume and distance measurements.
• Characteristics : Demonstrated leadership ability. Ability to allocate work assignments and / or responsibilities to others to maximize the organization's and the individual's effectiveness.

Customer focused. Ability to make customers and their needs the primary focus; developing and sustaining productive relationships.

If so, we have an opportunity that would allow you to operate heavy and tractor-trailer GVW capacity trucks of over 26,000 pounds to transport cargo to and from various destinations (customer locations, airline, trucking terminals.

Because safety is important to you, we can count on you to drive in a safe and efficient manner, following all safety rules and DOT regulations.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

• Act as a messenger for the company and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times.
• Operate vehicle to transport materials to and from specified destinations in a safe and efficient manner and in accordance with State and Federal DOT regulations and all Transportation Security Administration requirements.
• Be a protector of company equipment and freight, keeping it safe from damage, theft or tampering.
• Oversee the safety of cargo and unit to ensure it is properly secured and safe, verifying cargo is correct and in good condition and checking delivery documentation for accuracy.
• Load freight onto the truck using a forklift and pallet jack, and utilize load locks, straps, covers, etc. to ensure that freight will be delivered in good condition at final destination.

Unload freight from truck utilizing proper equipment.

• May reload or unload trailer via refinery or storage tank.
• Oversee the reporting of any irregularities related to the pick-up and / or delivery of the cargo (i.e. damage, shortage, customer complaints, customer requests).
• Maintain radio contact or communication with dispatch office and promptly report all delays due to weather conditions, breakdowns, accidents or any other emergencies.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Education and Experience :

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year verifiable CDL Class A or B driving experience in the industry and in type of vehicle to be driven;
• Minimum 5 years industry driving experience may be substituted for a high school diploma or GED.
• Some positions require experience with transporting fuel over the road and fueling locomotives as well as railroad industry experience.

Credentials :

• Valid state issued Class C Driver's License issued by the driver's home state of residence.
• Some positions require a Class B license. Must have hazardous materials endorsement;
• Acceptable driving record as defined by DOT regulations, TSA regulations and Company policy.
• Must meet the physical requirements established by the DOT and have, or be able to provide a current valid medical card;
• Must be able to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Card as needed.
• E Rail clearance is required for some positions;
• Forklift Driver Certification.
• DOT Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Materials Certification. Must be bondable.

Are you known for your coordination skills? Are you passionate about safety and regulation compliance? If so, we have an opportunity that would allow you to manage driver route assignments, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and established internal policies and guidelines.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

• Develop and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Dispatch drivers for U.S. domestic shipment pick-ups and deliveries. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and established internal policies and guidelines.
• Prioritize time sensitive cargo.
• Notify drivers of pick-up and delivery assignments.
• Maintain shipment information under the Customs control document.
• Ensure required paperwork is submitted timely to Import personnel.
• Manage stored data and enter new data in computer database.
• Assist with shrink-wrapping, loading and downloading freight, verifying the labeling of domestic shipments, and noting the count and condition of cargo received.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Education and Experience : High School Diploma or GED; Minimum three years related experience. Minimum two years of industry experience preferred.

Knowledge of local geographic market.

Credentials : Valid state issued Class C Driver's License. Forklift Certification. DOT Dangerous Goods / Hazardous Materials Certification.

Ability to frequently lift and / or move up to 50 lbs. Ability to drive and / or operate heaving machinery or equipment.

Skills : Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications. Accurate typing skills and / or data entry skills.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Characteristics : Demonstrated leadership ability. Ability to read, comprehend, and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents.

Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs.
