DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Working with ME team to implement processes and procedures for new equipment. More on the administrative side of Engineering than hands-on.

Current ME resources are all focused on getting new machines into production and programming parts as well as supporting current production above normal volumes.

This position will be creating the documentation listed to help these current ME resources.) Examples include : Operation method sheets Preventative maintenance documentation Setting up spare parts to be stocked (identify and set up in SAP) REQUIRED : Degree or related work experience Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel especially) Self-motivated DESIRED : Degree in engineering Previous manufacturing engineering experience creating processes and procedures Powered by JazzHR

Location : Ankeny, IA

Duration of Role : 2+ years

Pay : $48.82 - $52.31 / hourly

Hours : 1st shift, occasional OT. Must be open to off-shift if production schedules change.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Establishes routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and / or new parts or programs of moderate scope.
• Innovates and implements cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of moderate scope.
• Applies electronic tools across a broad range of applications, including e-builds, modeling and simulations.
• Develops and implements plans to support lean manufacturing through the Deere Production System of moderate scope. Designs operations layouts.

Improves material flow and material presentation.

• Leads team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity and efficiency of moderate scope.
• Leads analysis, development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology.
• Analyzes and makes modifications to existing performance pay plans; assists in development of baseline data for new performance pay plans.

REQUIRED :

• 4-year degree in Engineering field
• Working knowledge of CNC machining - turning, milling or laser cutting systems
• Manufacturing experience
• Project management
• Detail oriented
• Creo, AutoCAD or Inventor experience

DESIRED :

• G-code programming
• Perishable tool selection
• Machine trouble shooting
• Fixture design

Additional notes :

Safety shoes with internal metatarsal protection required day 1. There is a possibility that the person will drive their personal vehicle to other sites for meetings.

May also drive a Deere owned Gator on the shop floor after completing safety training.
