Responsibilities
Central Florida Behavioral Hospital is a -bed, private psychiatric center located in Orlando, FL. Central Florida Behavioral Hospital offers a full continuum of care including inpatient treatment services for children, adolescents and adults;
and partial hospitalization, intensive out-patient and ECT services for adults. We are now seeking a per-diem housekeeper to join our team : hours will vary, depending on department needs.
Housekeeper
The Housekeeper is responsible for providing a clean, sanitary, comfortable, orderly and enjoyable surroundings for patients, visitors and employees.
The Housekeeper promotes sanitary conditions which prevent the spread of infections and odors. The Housekeeper may be required to perform tasks which involve exposure to visible blood contamination or reasonably anticipated blood contamination.
The Housekeeper must follow the required procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing, or moving objects / materials and / or the clean-up of blood, infectious materials or body fluids in accordance with OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Standards.
The Director of Plant Operations supervises housekeeping.
Qualifications
Housekeeper Qualifications
- High school education or GED preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year in healthcare environment preferred.
- Must be able to operate mechanical equipment used in the laundry and housekeeping department. Must be able to read, write and follow material instructions for use.
- The Housekeeper is required to lift, carry, walk, stand, stoop, push, pull and climb for periods up to eight (8) hours.
Must be able to move continuously during working hours and able to lift and carry pounds.
