Summary

The Production Control will provide work with the Operations Manager and Productions Managers to ensure efficient and accurate label production.

In addition, the Production Control will print labels as well as assist in addressing issues within the office including operational, scheduling, and mechanical.

Role and Responsibilities :

  • Ensure efficient label production according to company policy.
  • Assist and print labels to meet production goals
  • Assist in the monitoring of inventory levels.
  • Report any mechanical problems with computers or printers.
  • Maintain office files & spreadsheets.
  • Write memos, letters, and documents as necessary.
  • Data entry (i.e., lot code, code date, country of origin )
  • Clerical support to Office Managers
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Manager or Office Managers

Manager Warehouse

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

The Warehouse Manager provides direction and management of warehouse operations. Routinely forecasts daily warehouse functions, needs, and inventory movement to accurately report updates to other parts of the business. Duties include :

Job Description :

  • Directs and manages a team of warehouse employees to meet daily requirements, schedule work, pack or pick inventory, load and unload products, materials, or supplies, enter KPIs, and
  • Processes all aspects of receiving, ordering, recording waste, delivering warehouse inventory, and maintenance of all records.
  • Develops and implements plans, procedures, and programs in coordination with senior management. Escalates concerns, or variances as needed to agree on next steps, remedy, or action to take.
  • Ensures the department meets all Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) requirements.
  • Track, analyze, and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends around KPIs and other critical reporting items.
  • Ensures efficient tracking and verification of all inbound and outbound movement of products, raw materials, and supplies maintained within the warehouse.
  • Establishes operational policies and procedures; develops operational schedules; evaluates workflow and efficiency; handles personnel issues.
  • Ensures perishable product is rotated to minimize spoilage of product and ensures the product is brought to production rooms promptly.
  • Manage warehousing / storage of all raw products, supplies finished products, and other material
  • Maintain inventory of supplies, rotate stock as required
  • Ensure all equipment is in safe and operating status, ensure any issues are addressed and corrected promptly
  • Supervise, organize, and schedule Warehouse employees that may include : Material Handlers, Warehouse Workers, Packers, Pickers, Inventory Control, Shipping and / or Receiving forklift operators Leads, and Supervisors.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, coaching, evaluating performance, issuing discipline, motivating, and termination actions.
  • Supports and delivers employee training and development. Conducts safety, SOP, and other employee meetings as necessary.
  • Receives and verifies receiving reports, purchase orders, and invoices for accuracy.
  • May review or update contact information related to vendors, transportation companies, and deliveries.
  • Works in partnership with the Purchasing Coordinator
  • Adheres to all good manufacturing practices and food safety policies including the company's CCP's.
  • Identify damage, and report shortages, and quality deficiencies.
  • May assist with supplying and / or transporting raw materials, ingredients, or inventory to workstations.
  • Performs other duties as needed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Food Safety, Transportation / Logistics, or a related field is preferred or equivalent experience at a commensurate management level.
  • 3+ years experience in a Supervisory or Managerial Warehouse environment with fresh food, ingredients, Agricultural, Nondurable goods, beverages, or consumable goods
  • Experience working in a chilled food factory or related environment is preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish / English) helpful
  • Basic computer skills (Word and Excel) preferred.
  • Experience using an Inventory Scan gun and Warehouse Inventory System is preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of how to monitor and adjust resources to accomplish objectives.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team to execute work with a high level of accuracy.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of common reports, labor controls, inventory controls, and safe work practices within a food warehouse environment.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

  • Good knowledge of the equipment used in storing and transferring supplies and equipment.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices in a food warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in a cold / damp environment for extended periods
  • Must be able to complete common paperwork related to shipping, receiving, and material handling
  • Ability to read computer-generated reports
  • Must have strong interpersonal and employee relation skills
  • Ability to read, comprehend and speak professionally with team members
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Safe work practices common to the trades
  • Must have basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to be forklift certified before operating equipment

WORK DEMANDS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS : While performing the duties of this Job work is primarily performed in a chilled environment or office within the Warehouse.

Regularly required to stand, walk, squat, stoop, bend, reach, talk, or hear. Required to use hands and fingers finger, handle, lift, feel, push, or pull objects.

Exerts up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, and / or up to 20 lbs of force frequently. Often required to lift and carry up to 25 lbs force constantly to move objects.
