We are looking for a competent Public Relations (PR) Manager to shape and protect our corporate image in ways that promote our business, values and mission.

You’ll be responsible for developing media relations and collaborating with marketing teams in promotional activities. We expect to see candidates who can impress us with their copywriting and presentation skills.

We’ll be on the lookout for experience in corporate communications, project management and social media. Throw a lot of enthusiasm and a powerful leadership into the mix and you’ll be our ideal candidate.

The goal is to create positive public awareness of the company and its brand from scratch.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate PR / Branding plans and strategies
  • Align the company around the brand’s direction, choices and tactics
  • Translate brand elements into plans and go-to-market strategies
  • Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results on a quarterly basis
  • Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media
  • Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media
  • Maximize brand presence on various channels (e.g. web, TV and social media)
  • Manage media inquiries and interview requests
  • Create content for press releases, paid articles and keynote presentations
  • Coordinate all public relations activities
  • Plan and supervise events, fairs, conferences etc.
  • Support the implementation of promotional plans
  • Present solutions in times of PR crisis
  • Join social media groups and professional platforms to discuss industry-related topics
  • Network with industry experts and potential clients to drive brand awareness

Requirements

  • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of experience in public relations manager or similar position
  • Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets
  • Proven experience in coordinating and managing effective PR campaigns through various channels
  • Experience in project management and execution of PR campaigns
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including copywriting and editing
  • A creative yet practical mind

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Solid experience with social media including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
  • Proven skills in MS Office; photo and video-editing
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable as a public speaker
  • Impeccable copywriting, writing and editing abilities
