Job purpose

The Senior Manager of Warehouse Operations and Logistics is responsible for all areas related to warehouse operations and distribution.

• This role is responsible for the overall operational administration and management of C&F Enterprises Chapman warehouse;
• assisting in developing and implementing strategies for improving key performance indicators including pick rates, accuracy, incident rates, overtime, and damages / returns;
• achieving business objectives, ensuring inventory is accounted for in a safe and efficient manner, establishing and maintaining workflow processes as necessary to meet both delivery goals and performance standards;

maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers.

Duties and responsibilities

Provides strategic leadership for integrated logistics, supply chain management and distribution operation for the company.

Assist in the implementatio0n of all warehouse operations, including logistics, shipping and receiving, safety and emergency action plans.

Champions, initiates, and drives strategic objectives to remove barriers and adapt current process to facilitate improvement and change management.

Drives culture of accountability through daily assessments and operational evaluation.

Provides leadership through effective communications, coaching and development while comparing results to goals and taking appropriate action to correct when necessary.

Establishes effective procedures and controls for the safe and efficient movement of inventory including; customer service, inbound / outbound rack handling, warehousing, packaging, shipping, storage of finished racks, transportation management including carrier selection / agreement management.

Supports maintaining a safe working environment and focuses on safe work habits; ensures adherence to established procedures to ensure C&F Enterprises safety guidelines are followed.

Ensures an accurate inventory of products at all times through a maintained inventory control system.

Develops documents, and executes standard operating procedures.

Cultivates a high performance, result-oriented culture by maintaining positive working relationships with all internal and external customers.

Responsible for managing and growing customer-focused team members.

Leads the development of and maintenance of the logistics policies and guidelines.

Drives continuous improvement on established logistic strategies and implements value-added logistic services.

Coordinates with vendors to manage activities in order to meet service level expectations.

Ensures that logistics are in compliance with United States Customs and Border Protection regulations.

Transforming and improving the information flow, system, tools and process related to the physical movement of product.

Drives key performance indicators (KPIs) and continuous improvement throughout the logistics operations and service provider supply base.

Manage all aspects of people development for logistics personnel.

Create and implement effective strategies and lead teams toward achievement of business and warehouse objectives; aligning with Department Leadership Teams.

Establish long- and short-term strategies of operations including training, development, process improvement, over a broad spectrum of support needs.

Provides guidance and direction to Supervisors in the overall performance management of employees.

Responsible for the performance review evaluation process for Logistics team.

Maintains current knowledge of industry trends, market activities, and competitors.

Maintains a focus for self and team on continuous learning that will enhance skill sets and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

A 4-year degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Operations, Logistics and / or equivalent experience

5-7 years in warehouse operations management experience

Ability to quickly learn and use a variety of system tools

Individual will need to develop significant expertise in multiple systems that are critical to analyzing and influencing the daily Distribution business

Direct experience with WMS, Apprise, and or other enterprise systems is required.

Ability to work collaboratively across department functions

Demonstrated leadership skills; proven ability to influence cross functional teams

Demonstrated ability to influence desired outcomes through direct and indirect resources

Willing and able to travel in between warehouse locations

Job purpose

• The Warehouse Driver position is responsible for the safe operation of company vehicles for the purpose of maintaining required inventory levels;
• accountable for the safe work practices ; promote and implement the company's core values and excellence in customer service;

responsible for maintaining strong relationships with internal customers. Also, responsible for the general preventative maintenance in the warehouse and office, safety and warehouse compliance reporting, minor repairs.

Duties and responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles for the purpose of transporting orders and materials to multiple site locations as well as other designated areas.
• Responsible for maintaining proper care of company vehicle to prevent equipment down time.
• Perform equipment safety checks (i.e. check oil, lights, water, tires, etc.) pre-trip and post trip inspections.
• Load and unload items for the purposes of distributing shipment to assigned site locations and / or individuals.
• Assist in Shipping Department which includes : loading the cartons in the correct trucks, UPS and / or FedEx driver support, shipping department daily closing procedures, etc.

• Responsible for removal and hauling trash to specified locations.
• Maintain the company's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Operate scan gun and maintain inventory counts.
• When not driving, the warehouse driver will assist with warehouse duties as needed to include general maintenance and inspection on equipment for warehouse such as forklifts, pallet jacks, handcarts, safety harnesses, etc.
• Performs office maintenance support and repairs.
