As a Store Manager, you’ll be responsible for successfully managing all store operations tasks in order to maximize sales results while bringing Our Burlington values to life in your store.
You will be a mentor, role model, and coach for your team members, as well as a partner to associates in other branches of the organization.
You will lead your team by example, demonstrating how to deliver excellent customer service with a high degree of professionalism in order to provide a world-class shopping experience to customers.
You will take ownership for the successful execution of all day-to-day merchandising, operations and service management tasks.
You are ultimately responsible for the overall success of your store location and the associates on your team.
Responsibilities :
- Direct management and oversight of Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and Store Associates to ensure implementation of established company policies, standards, expectations and initiatives
- Ensure Assistant Managers and store team members are fulfilling their individual responsibilities
- Partner with Assistant Store Manager, Merchandising to coordinate merchandise placement, sales promotions and pricing
- Partner with Assistant Store Manager, Operations to review receiving, transfers, debits / damages, returns-to-vendor (RTV's), and charge-back paperwork to ensure accuracy of inventory
- Manage multi-million dollar sales volume and expense budget including review of all associated reporting and record-keeping
- Recruitment, screening and hiring of associates in order to meet store staffing needs
- Facilitate onboarding and training for new associates, provide ongoing coaching in the moment, and implement structured learning and development activities for all team members
- Handle personnel and associate relations issues
- Payroll budget management, workforce management and scheduling
- Facilitate effective communication and partnerships between and among store team, regional management team and other partners within the company.
- Other tasks as necessary
- Candidates must have 5+ years of Retail Management experience in a Big Box or Specialty environment and be able to work a flexible schedule;
Travel may be required from time-to-time.

- Manages the overall execution of operations and receiving SOPS, including the continuous flow process.
- Monitors the receiving process, transfers, debits, damages, and charge-backs and partners with the Receiving Supervisor to maintain the accuracy of inventory.
- Supports the Store Manager and others in areas including but not limited to staffing, sourcing, interviewing, training, and succession planning.
- Assist in the management of other store operations areas as needed.
- Candidates must have 3+ years of Retail Management or Store Operations experience at an Off Price, Big Box, Specialty or medium to large-sized, multi-unit retail organization and be able to work a flexible schedule;
including early mornings, nights, weekends, holidaysand required travel, as needed. Candidates must also be able to lift and move boxes weighing up to 40 lbs.

- Assist with coordination of company inventory control and shrink strategies and priorities, in conjunction with Asset Prevention and Director of Operations.
- Ensure excellent customer experience by monitoring exterior and interior facilities maintenance and cleanliness standards and following up with corporate and vendor contacts to resolve issues.
- Work with Director of Operations and corporate Construction Department to monitor construction schedules for new stores and remodels, assisting with coordination of fixture arrivals and set-up, delivery of in-store signage and merchandise arrivals.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management or related field, or equivalent experience required . Candidates must have 5+ years of Retail Operations Management experience .
Candidates should be comfortable utilizing Microsoft Office programs and be familiar with computerized scheduling and reporting software.
Travel is required to all markets within designated region.

As an Operations Service Manager at Burlington, one of the largest off-price retailers in the country, you’ll be one of leaders of the store team, participating in managing the overall operations of the store.
You will serve as a role model for store associates, demonstrating and reinforcing the company’s Core Values, developing trust and respect among peers and staff, building strong teams and partnerships, and driving business results.
You’ll coach, train and develop a team of Cashiers and Customer Service Supervisors while also overseeing business operations to ensure our associates are delivering excellence customer service and the highest degree of professionalism.
Responsibilities :
- Manages the Customer Service and Cashier teams, driving compliance to company policies and standards, safekeeping of company funds and property, asset protection, sales, and record keeping procedures.
- Provides guidance to the Customer Service Supervisors to ensure they are meeting customer service expectations and there is smooth customer flow at the registers.
- Manages the overall execution of operations and receiving SOPS, including the continuous flow process.
- Monitors the receiving process, transfers, debits, damages, and charge-backs and partners with the Receiving Supervisor to maintain the accuracy of inventory.
- Supports the Store Manager and others in areas including but not limited to staffing, sourcing, interviewing, training, and succession planning.
- Assist in the management of other store operations areas as needed.
- Candidates must have 3+ years of Retail Management or Store Operations experience at an Off Price, Big Box, Specialty or medium to large-sized, multi-unit retail organization and be able to work a flexible schedule;
including early mornings, nights, weekends, holidaysand required travel, as needed. Candidates must also be able to lift and move boxes weighing up to 40 lbs.
and should be comfortable utilizing scheduling and reporting computer software.

- Partner with Assistant Store Manager, Merchandising to coordinate merchandise placement, sales promotions and pricing
- Partner with Assistant Store Manager, Operations to review receiving, transfers, debits / damages, returns-to-vendor (RTV's), and charge-back paperwork to ensure accuracy of inventory
- Manage multi-million dollar sales volume and expense budget including review of all associated reporting and record-keeping
- Recruitment, screening and hiring of associates in order to meet store staffing needs
- Facilitate onboarding and training for new associates, provide ongoing coaching in the moment, and implement structured learning and development activities for all team members
- Handle personnel and associate relations issues
- Payroll budget management, workforce management and scheduling
- Facilitate effective communication and partnerships between and among store team, regional management team and other partners within the company.
- Other tasks as necessary
- Candidates must have 5+ years of Retail Management experience in a Big Box or Specialty environment and be able to work a flexible schedule;
