Senior Accountants - Revenue & Consolidations

Responsibilities :

  • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records and other financial reports to assess accuracy and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
  • Drive the monthly revenue close process, including deferred revenue, revenue accruals, prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, revenue reporting, and flux analyses
  • Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities related to revenue and inventory
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions
  • Determine monthly accruals for unbilled revenue and cost of sales per internal accounting policies
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of monthly, quarterly and year-end close related to revenue and inventory
  • Assist in the improvement of the revenue and inventory processes
  • Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses
  • Partner with various stakeholders throughout the organization to compile data used during the month end close process
  • Assist in internal and external audits

Qualifications :

  • 2+ years of experience with financial systems, budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis and auditing - Big 4 or public company experience preferred
  • Experience analyzing revenue and cost recognition
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • CPA preferred
  • Ability to professional drive change and process
  • Extremely high level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong background in Microsoft Office, highly proficient in Excel

We are currently seeking an Internal Audit Manager for a leading academic medical center located in Chicago, Illinois. Our client is an organization that is dedicated to providing exceptional care to their patients, while also advancing the field of medical research and education.

The Internal Audit Manager will be responsible for managing a team of auditors and overseeing all aspects of the internal audit process.

This includes planning and executing various audit and consulting engagements, assessing internal controls and related risks, presenting audit findings to management, and ensuring that internal audit recommendations are implemented.

Ideal candidates will have :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance / related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of previous audit experience, prior management experience is highly preferred
  • A strong understanding of internal controls
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Positive interpersonal skills for interacting with all levels of management
