The Manager, Manufacturing Sales focuses on expansion of Brother Mobile Solutions’ (BMS) sales revenue and market share within the major target vertical market Manufacturing (includes Auto ID, Safety Signage & MRO) in North America.
This role collaborates works under the leadership of the Senior Manager, Manufacturing Sales to execute cutting edge sales strategies to meet company’s revenue goals and profits.
Additional focus areas for this position include but are not limited to : pipeline management, forecasting, and sales reporting.
Sales Strategy Execution
- Execute the overall sales strategy and tactical plan for the Manufacturing vertical market (Auto ID, MRO, Signage); provide feedback on strategy to leadership
- Drive and build a strong end-user pipeline; close opportunities in support of the overall sales strategy, working closely with end-users and channel partners
- Build and prospect target list of customers
- Utilize the channel sales team to penetrate channel partner customers in the Manufacturing / MRO / Safety Signage / Auto-ID space
- Recruit and manage additional channel partners
- Work closely with marketing team, lead generation team, and channel team to drive channel marketing programs and follow-up on Sales Qualified Leads
- Recruit, Identify and manage existing and new independent representative agencies in the MRO / Signage segment, driving them to higher productivity & penetration of target customer list
- Train & drive account mapping to penetrate end-user accounts
- Monitor activities and adjust strategies to drive higher productivity
- Stay in tune with market trends and demands in order to proactively and effectively adapt sales approach as it relates to revenue streams
- Meet and exceed quarterly and annual team sales quota
Reporting, Budgeting, & Forecasting
Provide timely and comprehensive sales reports on revenue attainment versus quota, pipeline progress, and sales forecasts for the demand planning process
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) required, preferably in the field of Business, Marketing, or a related technical discipline
Experience
7+ years of combined experience spanning :
- Managing customer accounts, channel partners, and outside representative agencies in a sales capacity
- Driving end-user / channel sales for a large region
- Working cross-functionally with several teams to execute on sales goals
2+ years of experience selling to the manufacturing, MRO, safety signage, auto-ID markets
Software / Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software (Salesforce preferred)
Other Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
- Ability to strategically analyze data, think, and execute on long-term action plan
- Aptitude for crafting creative sales strategies to achieve business growth and divisional profit
- Knowledge in all aspects of sales management, including but not limited to : forecasting, goal setting, team planning, account mapping, resource management, time management, selling to the relevant executive, conducting executive briefings
- Strong communication skills (written / verbal / interpersonal) and ability to build relationships internally and externally
- Strong ability to deliver effective presentations
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Knowledge of Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) market and experience selling to Manufacturing & MRO market
