The Director, Game Presentation will guide the planning, strategy, development and execution of game presentation elements for the Brooklyn Nets, New York Liberty and Barclays Center college basketball franchises.

The role is a key part of BSE Global’s Game Presentation team, a group that leads high-level event production for internal and consumer-facing events.

This position is responsible for ensuring event attendees have an unforgettable experience and we maximize the opportunity to foster brand affinity at Barclays Center and across Brooklyn.

The Director will develop close working relationships with the Content, Creative, Brand and Consumer Marketing teams to ensure we are amplifying priority Marketing initiatives at our events.

This individual will also manage a highly coordinated effort to program and produce events, liaising with the Barclays Center, Basketball Operations, Ticketing, Partnerships, Community and DE&I teams to ensure flawless execution of the goals and vision of all stakeholders.

The role will use imagination and originality to enhance event programming and implement entertaining concepts into the show.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Serve in a leadership role in coordination with the VP, Game Presentation and Senior Director, Entertainment to guide planning, communication, and programming for BSE Global events
  • Develop impactful concepts and activations that bring to life internal & partner priority initiatives
  • Steward video strategy and production for all events, in alignment with the Content team
  • Oversee the creation of a department production calendar, timing sheets, rundowns, scripts, and other production related documents, distributing to key stakeholders as appropriate
  • Develop process and communication with Basketball Operations to ensure we are achieving their goals and appropriately showcasing our players & key game storyline
  • Work with Partnerships to develop, pitch and execute programming elements that drive revenue, elevate the fan experience, and achieve partner objectives
  • Maintain a close working relationship with the Barclays Center control room, including a physical presence leading up to and during games to ensure seamless communication
  • Oversee the relationship with various technology, production and operational vendors
  • Help bring to life our Nets Fan Engagement Tentpoles at Barclays Center, inclusive of Nets Unite, Friday Night Live, Kids Games, Opening Night & Fan Appreciatio
  • Support production for in-market events such as viewing parties, corporate events, Practice in the Park and community events
  • Research and stay apprised of Game Presentation trends across professional sports leagues, implementing new and innovative programming at BSE events
  • Liaise with NBA Game Presentation to stay on top of league guidelines and best practices, while also formulating meaningful relationships with teams across the NBA and other leagues

WHO YOU ARE :

  • 7+ years’ experience working in live events, sports and event production
  • Understanding Sports & Entertainment live event presentation is strongly preferred
  • Content & broadcast production skills and experience is a major plus
  • Knowledge of and ability to closely follow popular culture and viral trends
  • Possess outstanding leadership, organizational skills, and collaborative spirit
  • Adaptable, with the ability to solve problems and navigate the evolving nature of live events
  • A passionate, creative spirit, who can actively lead and engage in brainstorm sessions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including clearly presenting concepts
  • Capacity to excel in a fast-paced environment and support multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to cultivate meaningful, trust-based relationships across levels and departments
  • Willingness to attend and work home games along with other select company events
  • College degree required

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

May be required to travel on occasions; trips may necessitate air travel and / or overnight stay for one or more nights.

SALARY RANGE

$110,000 - $125,000

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Works primarily in an office environment but is expected to work games and other events on evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Must be able to stand for an extended period of time and be able to handle the physical requirements of light work and lifting.

The Brand Copywriter will be responsible for developing compelling and on-brand messaging that will help cultivate the next generation of lifelong fans for the Brooklyn Nets & other BSE Global properties, strengthening brand affinity across all segments.

This role will liaise with key internal stakeholders and agency partners to implement brand positioning and messaging across marketing campaigns, creative and initiatives.

The Brand Copywriter will support brand vision and traits, naming and taglines, copywriting and communication strategies.

This individual will ask why?’, translating insights into messaging strategy and brand voice into copy with a clear point-of-view.

The role will be instrumental in the development of brand campaigns in collaboration with the Creative team, leveraging strong copy skills and brand acumen to bring dynamic campaigns to life.

JOB DESCRIPTION WHAT YOU WILL DO :

  • Support the process to build brand vision, mission, north-star priorities, campaign strategy and unique positioning for the Brooklyn Nets & other BSE Global properties
  • Translate briefs into messaging guides, with careful creation of tone and voice that consistently represent the brand across all marketing platforms and channels
  • Develop naming, taglines and key messaging for brand campaigns and programs, using data driven insights to support final recommendations
  • Collaborate to support the development of a brand positioning style guides and templates for messaging guides to support campaigns for our brands
  • Support key campaigns with our revenue generating businesses inclusive of Ticketing, Global Partnerships and Merchandising
  • Contribute to the season planning process, supporting the development of a year-round messaging calendar
  • Collaborate with Creative, Content, Game Presentation, Marketing Solutions, Marketing Operations and Merchandise teams to ensure consistent brand messaging and creative is embraced across all campaigns, activations and channels

Candidate Profile Who You Are

  • 4+ years of copywriting experience for an agency and / or brand with a demonstrated track record of successful go-to-market campaign copywriting and a robust portfolio of work
  • A skilled writer with the ability to tailor voice and tone
  • A passion for crafting language that is elevated, creative, intelligent, welcoming and inclusive
  • A strategic storyteller who understands how to steward ideas from creative brief to final campaign execution copy
  • Keen eye for detail and appreciation for great design, with the ability to consider creative standards when preparing copy for various channels
  • A proactive problem-solver, who can partner with Creative and Content teams to guide on-brief, on-brand execution

Financial Analyst

SUMMARY

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for preparing, refining, and tracking expense reporting to ensure accuracy and accountability.

The ideal candidate possesses superior organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to multi-task. The candidate must also demonstrate strong independent reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the capability to think and act proactively.

The Financial Analyst will work with various internal departments on a regular basis. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of FP&A.

WHAT YOU WILL DO :

  • Collaborate on the buildout of the annual enterprise budget / reforecast
  • Preparation of departmental expense tracking reports
  • Lead monthly meetings with department heads to go over financial results
  • Review accuracy of the coding of data entered into ERP system to align to budget
  • Assist with the month-end and year-end closing process
  • Assist in tracking performance against budgets and business plans and recommend modifications as appropriate
  • Exposure to suite, sponsorship and ticket sales revenue reporting
  • Assist in creating and updating financial reports that are distributed to senior leadership
  • Assists with special projects as assigned
  • Ad hoc reporting as necessary, including excel modeling, management reporting dashboards, etc.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Sports Management, Economics, or Business Management required.
  • 1-3 years minimum experience in an analytical and finance role.
  • Experience in Workday Adaptive, NetSuite and Excel a plus.
