TheSymantec Solution Architect is a senior pre & post sales role responsible for meticulously partnering with customers to consult, educate, and gather feedback from key enterprise accounts.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled candidate for the position who possesses extensive expertise in cybersecurity. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on threat intelligence, incident response, and a deep understanding of SOC operations, integrations, and use-cases.

Additionally, they should have a proven track record of engaging with Enterprise and Cybersecurity Architects, SOC Owners, Executives, and key decision-makers, while establishing strong relationships as a trusted advisor and delivering tailored solutions for global enterprises.

As part of this role, hands-on experience in building adoption architecture with critical cybersecurity and information governance solutions, specifically focusing on Security Operations Center outcomes, is required.

Reporting directly to the Global Head of Security Strategy, this position holds significant influence over Symantec's vision and roadmap, driven by the largest global enterprises.

As a representative of the Symantec Enterprise Division, the candidate will concentrate on core cybersecurity and cyber threat domains, supporting and executing the division's strategy and technical aspects.

Collaboration with our largest customers, product managers, sales teams, and other stakeholders will be an essential part of the role.

The ideal candidate should also have practical experience in designing, building, and operating SOC environments.

Key Responsibilities

Foster a trusted advisor relationship with Enterprise Security Architects at strategic customers, instilling confidence in our solutions and assisting them in prioritizing and driving adoption outcomes related to SOC.

This includes areas such as Endpoint protection, EDR, SOC Integrations, XDR, and automation.

Plan and execute objectives that align with the strategic business goals of the Products & Sales organizations. This includes enabling customers throughout their Cloud journey by leveraging our SaaS services, such as EDR, Threat Intelligence integration, Endpoint Protection, Mobile Security, Cloud Security, and Information Governance programs and products.

Serve as a global subject matter expert in Core Cybersecurity and Cyberthreats, exerting influence on the development of product and solution features, product strategy, and CxO-level selling models and processes.

Take ownership and provide guidance on complex or critical customer situations, including the creation of integrated technical architectures that customers can rely on during their cloud migration.

Collaborate with field sales, strategic accounts, customer success teams, and various stakeholders to conduct comprehensive research on product ideas, pain points, obstacles, and market opportunities.

Demonstrate the power and effectiveness of integrated Symantec Enterprise solutions to commercial and technical buyers.

Required Skills

Demonstrated technical and strategic leadership in sales engagements, particularly in large-scale, complex, and competitive scenarios.

Expertise and hands-on experience with Endpoint, Mobile, Server & Container Security, and EDR solutions.

Hands-on experience in Incident Response, specifically working directly with SOC.

Ability to effectively communicate the business value of Symantec Enterprise Cloud to CxO-level audiences through presentations and whiteboard discussions.

Proficient in established and emerging cybersecurity architectures and frameworks, such as XDR and Zero Trust.

Strong communication and documentation skills, consistently reviewing and communicating current plans and status.

Proven technical knowledge to create and deliver impactful architecture-level assets and engage in meaningful conversations.

Inspires confidence and trust in others through authenticity and commitment to follow-through.

Required Experience

Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role within a cybersecurity company, focusing on SOC Tools and processes, cyberthreats, EDR, Endpoint Security, Cloud Security, Information Governance, and Data Protection solutions.

Experience with Symantec solutions is highly desirable.

Industry certifications such as CISSP, GIAC ,Certified SOC Analyst, or similar are a plus.

Excellent presentation skills.

Proven track record of working on large and complex customer engagements at a senior level.

Experience collaborating with Product Management (PM) and Product Marketing Management (PMM) functions, including feature request processes and product requirements.

Ability to cultivate strong relationships with customers, partners, sales teams, and cross-functional teams.

Additional Requirements

Willingness and ability to travel internationally (travel can range from 25% to 50% at times), but should also endeavor to minimize travel by building strong relationships and developing the skills of others in the community to enable effective remote collaboration.

The annual base salary range for this position is $111,000 - $185,000.

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
