Job Description

Entry level position performing basic automotive services in the shop area

Responsibilities

Tire Service Duties (50%)

  • Repairs and balances tires
  • Operates tire changer, handles air impact wrenches and torque wrenches
  • Changes tires in the service department for Boss' cars as required based on flow of sales mix in location. (Total weight of wheels and tires together weigh an average of (30 to 55 lbs.

and can go up to (114 lbs.)

  • BSRO certifications complete and current
  • Follows all BSRO applicable BSRO Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Policies

Car Service Duties (20%)

  • Performs lubrications and oil changes
  • Performs basic vehicle inspections and elemental mechanical tasks following BSRO inspection and recommendations procedures.

Example : Installs batteries

  • BSRO certifications complete and current
  • Follows all BSRO applicable BSRO Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Policies

Miscellaneous (30%)

  • Unloads and loads 20 to 100 pound items from trucks as required and moves them into warehouse storage
  • Maintains service center standards of cleanliness, orderliness and appearance of space and equipment in the service department
  • Complies with company safety policy and federal / state OSHA safety requirements which include, but is not limited to, the wearing of approved eye protection, proper lifting techniques, proper wheel torqueing, proper footwear, etc.
  • Drives vehicles, e.g., to deliver merchandise, move Boss' cars, etc.
  • Interacts with Bosses in a non-sales capacity
  • Other duties as assigned by Store Manager, Service Manager and / or Manager of Vehicle Services

Job Description

Introduce tire products and automobile repair / maintenance services to customers in person and / or with other store associates to help maximize total sales, store profits, and customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities and duties of this role include, but are not limited to :

Selling and Sales Promotion ( 65% of time)

  • Personally handles customer needs in areas of sales, service, complaints, adjustments, etc.

Car Service Duties (20%)

  • Performs lubrications and oil changes
  • Performs basic vehicle inspections and elemental mechanical tasks following BSRO inspection and recommendations procedures.

Miscellaneous (30%)

  • Unloads and loads 20 to 100 pound items from trucks as required and moves them into warehouse storage
  • Maintains service center standards of cleanliness, orderliness and appearance of space and equipment in the service department
  • Complies with company safety policy and federal / state OSHA safety requirements which include, but is not limited to, the wearing of approved eye protection, proper lifting techniques, proper wheel torqueing, proper footwear, etc.
  • Drives vehicles, e.g., to deliver merchandise, move Boss' cars, etc.
  • Interacts with Bosses in a non-sales capacity

Responsibilities

Customer and Vehicle Service (85%)

  • Personally road tests automobiles (both before and after service work is performed)
  • Performs inspections on assigned vehicles following BSRO procedures (according to M.A.P. Guidelines) to reports findings to service management
  • Adequately explains mechanical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include teammates and Bosses on an as-required basis
  • Performs tasks for which they are qualified in one or more of the following areas : brakes, electrical, engine performance, engine repair, heating / air conditioning, suspension / steering, automatic transmissions / transaxles and manual drivetrains and axles
  • Keeps store management aware of service area mechanical repair problems as they occur
  • Performs other duties as assigned or as required for the orderly management of the store, such as : removing mounting and / or installing tires, shock absorbers, batteries and other automotive supplies and services;

If needed, the store will contact the qualified repair vendor to perform the maintenance

Job Description

Financial planning & analysis for the Consumer Tire Replacement business focuses on both the short- and long-term financial planning, and operational financial support for the largest business unit within Bridgestone Americas.

The Finance Manager is responsible for managing spend from end-to-end for the business and the various department leaders within it, including being the primary support of the Marketing function within Consumer Tire.

They will lead the financial forecast process thru periodic forecasting and the annual budget process. Support Corporate FP&A requests such as Investor Relations communications and month / quarter end requirements.

Provide operational financial support to give guidance on investments and spending, helping the business determine where best to deploy funding for maximum returns.

Responsibilities

On-going financial analysis to support the accurate and timely reporting of the business financial performance (Financial Statements : Profit & Loss GL accounts such as Revenue, COGS, Operating Expenses, Balance Sheet, ROIC, CAPEX, cash conversion cycle metrics, Accruals, and Journal Entries), along with Gross Margin Variance (Price / Volume / Mix) reporting.

Provide the following operational support : Special ad-hoc projects, or other duties in support of the business unit or broader company initiatives.

IFRS Reporting and Analysis. Customer and Product Profitability Reporting. Creating process efficiencies in financial reporting, Excel / BW modeling and usage of SAP, Tableau.

Ensure financial results are reported timely, accurately, and in compliance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance.

6 y+ years of relevant experience including 3-5 years management or direct / indirect leadership experience OR Master's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience including 2-4 years management or direct / indirect leadership experience.

Advanced Excel modeling skills.

Experience with SAP, BW, SAP Business Planning & Consolidation (BPC), PPT, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is preferred but not required.
