Breakside Brewery is looking for hard working bartenders for our upcoming Beaverton Taproom & Beer Garden. This is a multi-concept property that will include an indoor taproom, event space, and outdoor beer garden with an outdoor bar and food cart pod.

All staff will be trained to work at both bars plus the event space. We will have a full liquor license and will be serving cocktails in addition to beer, wine, cider, etc.

We are currently hiring our full bar staff for this location, as we are planning to have the whole property open by late July.

Summary of Position :

Breakside bartenders provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional taproom experience while pouring the highest quality beverages for our guests.

Each bartender's primary objective is to connect with guests and create a memorable experience that will make guests want to return repeatedly.

Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Warmly and graciously greet all customers.
  • Answer questions about our beers, other beverages, and other taproom functions and services.
  • Pour and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistently with the standard recipes.
  • Record beverage orders accurately and enter into the POS system immediately afterwards.
  • Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change (if applicable).
  • Change kegs and organize the beer fridge when necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all work areas.
  • Assist the restocking and replenishment of inventory and supplies.
  • Inspect, clean, and stock restrooms at regular intervals.
  • Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues to management.
  • General cleaning duties.
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications :

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Valid Oregon Food Handlers Card and OLCC Permit.
  • Have comprehensive knowledge of beer styles, descriptions, and brewing process.
  • Possess strong organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Work well in a fast-paced setting.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
