We are seeking hospitality industry professionals with experience working in upscale, fine dining establishments and / or high-end cocktail bars.

The Barback will assist with cleaning the bar, ensuring the bar is well stocked, preparing garnishes etc. This person should be knowledgeable about the menu and focused on providing quality service in a fast-paced environment.

Job Overview

  • Assist with opening and closing duties
  • Greet guests in a warm and friendly manner
  • Ensure Bartenders are properly stocked with clean glassware and supplies
  • Collect used glasses and plates
  • Keep the bar clean by wiping, cleaning, and mopping
  • Attend to any guest requests and relay to servers, bartenders and managers when needed
  • Ensure items are stocked properly

Requirements

  • 2 years’ experience as a Barback in a restaurant, bar or lounge
  • Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Willing to learn and take direction well
  • Work flexible schedules and willing and able to work shift duties that may include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities for Sous Chef

1. Effectively loads and operates the dish washing machines. Hand washes pots, pans and other items in accordance with the standards of sanitation and cleanliness.

2. Thoroughly cleans dish machine by emptying tanks and filling tanks. Ensures that curtains are set up. Empties grease traps and barrels.

Checks rinse agent and detergent and fills as necessary. Promptly notifies Supervisor of any irregularities with the machine.

3. Thoroughly cleans and empties disposal drains regularly.

4. Keeps dish cleaning area and floor clean and free from debris.

5. Empties all trash in kitchen area and employee cafeteria.

6. Correctly separates recyclable items into proper cardboard and bottles / plastic containers.

7. Maintains bus stations in assigned areas. Ensures that areas have soiled silverware containers, bus buckets and empty garbage cans.

8. Correctly places soiled dishes on racks in dish cleaning machine. Separates silverware for cleaning. Always washes silverware twice.

9. Always stacks clean dishes in proper storage area.

10. Ensures that pot sink area is clean and free from debris. Makes sure that pots are kept inverted and put in proper specific storage area.

Complies with all applicable health standards.

11. Uses chemicals in proper areas and in correct concentrations.

Minimum Qualifications :

1. Must possess a High School Diploma / GED.

2. Must possess reading ability; schedules, MSDS, complete forms, etc.
