We’re seeking a talented an Entry Level Fund Accountant to join our Global Utilities team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA Hybrid.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways :

• Provides accounting support activities for funds of higher complexity. Reviews work of more junior colleagues and provides technical assistance on complex matters.
• Performs a variety of accounting and net asset value (NAV) production functions (including NAV construction and validation, NAV review, dissemination and reporting activities) for more complex assigned funds.
• Assists in reviewing data and resolving intricate problems that may arise during the normal daily, weekly or monthly accounting and reporting.
• Tracks data and maintains accounting records for funds of higher complexity in accordance with department policies and procedures.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following :

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

We deliver foreign exchange execution, securities finance, equity and fixed income origination and investment solutions and liquidity services.

Team & Role :

The position will be part of the Public Finance team within BNY Mellon Capital Markets. The Public Finance team provides bond underwriting, financial advisory, variable rate bond remarketing, reinvestment and other services to States, municipalities, non-profits, real estate developers, health care providers, higher educational institutions, corporate issuers with a sustainable lens and other entities around their financing needs.

The team works very closely with our Municipal Bond Trading and Underwriting Desk as well as our Securities Sales representatives.

In addition, we frequently connect with our colleagues from other Lines of Business at BNY Mellon such as Derivatives Desk, Corporate Trust, Institutional Lending, Asset Servicing and other groups.

Responsibilities :

With guidance, evaluates and pursues new business opportunities and client prospects, focusing on responsible business growth that is compliant, of acceptable risk and profitable.

Serves in a consultative role to prospects, advising top leadership on the best way to achieve their short- and long- term financing objectives through the firm’s solutions.

Prospects are located across the United States. Incumbents follow leads that come into the organization from other lines of business as well as generating leads themselves.

May assist a more senior Business Development colleague on large or complex accounts to gain breadth / depth of knowledge.

May be responsible for achieving organic incremental growth from existing clients. Locates potential prospects through in-depth industry research and an understanding of the market environment, including short- and long-term trends, fixed income market conditions, competitor offerings, regulatory developments etc.

Screens and evaluates prospects by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, growth potential, financials and internal firm priorities.

Works with existing clients and prospects on their strategic and financial vision and uses an understanding of the firm’s solutions and value proposition to help them achieve that vision.

May help develop a negotiation strategy and position to align prospect needs to firm offerings. Assists with closing of new prospects by contributing analyses supporting deal structures (pricing, contract terms, etc.

We're seeking a future team member in the role of Senior Group Manager to join our Middle Office Client Operations team in Asset Servicing.

This role is located in either Pittsburgh, PA, Lake Mary, FL or Orlando, FL (to start, will transition to Lake Mary in 2024) in a Hybrid working environment.

BNYM provides middle office services for asset servicing clients, including asset managers, insurancepanies and asset owners.

Those services consist of trade support, derivatives processing, collateral management, and Investment Book of Record (IBOR) maintenance.

The IBOR records are GIPSpliant and may be used in performance calculations and / or validation / update of trading positions.

BNYM currently operates multiple infrastructures supporting the IBOR offering. So, specific operational procedures will be required across the infrastructures.

However, theernance, policies, core controls, and management reporting within each function should be consistent, regardless of the infrastructure.

Client Operations for the middle office provides a COO function for the client that oversees the daily activity of the operation and is the primary point of operational contact with the client.

The role coordinates the implementation of new accounts and changes in service for existing middle office clients. The role owns the coordination of joint client testing, and the operational coordination of due diligence for new clients.

Finally, the role owns operational client level reporting for client and BNYM management consumption.

The responsibilities for this role include the following :

Primary operational point of contact for the client that serves :

• Tomunicate and escalate significant operational concerns to senior leadership at the client
• To understand, document, andmunicate, within BNYM, client goals in regard to new products, new strategies, and new markets
• Tomunicate changes within the BNYM environment that will have a client impact

• Lead regular internal discussions with functional leaders, providing insight into client level activities, issues, concerns.

BNYM provides middle office services for asset servicing clients, including asset managers, insurance companies and asset owners.

The IBOR records are GIPS compliant and may be used in performance calculations and / or validation / update of trading positions.

BNYM currently operates multiple infrastructures supporting the IBOR offering. So, specific operational procedures will be required across the infrastructures.

However, the governance, policies, core controls, and management reporting within each function should be consistent, regardless of the infrastructure.

Client Operations for the middle office provides a COO function for the client that oversees the daily activity of the operation and is the primary point of operational contact with the client.

The role coordinates the implementation of new accounts and changes in service for existing middle office clients. The role owns the coordination of joint client testing, and the operational coordination of due diligence for new clients.

Finally, the role owns operational client level reporting for client and BNYM management consumption.

The responsibilities for this role include the following :

Primary operational point of contact for the client that serves :

• To communicate and escalate significant operational concerns to senior leadership at the client
• To understand, document, and communicate, within BNYM, client goals in regard to new products, new strategies, and new markets
• To communicate changes within the BNYM environment that will have a client impact
• Serve as the operational advisor to work with the product team on communication of data to clients, including data feeds, standard report development / delivery, and design, development, and delivery of dashboards.

We’re seeking a future team member in the role of Big Data Data Engineer to join our Asset Servicing team. This role is in Pittsburgh, PA HYBRID.

UCM is bank new client master data platform. It is golden source of truth about our clients and their accounts. As an enterprise level platform, API is one of the channels that multiple applications across multiple line of businesses use to get client data relevant for their application use.

The data is huge and data security and privacy is top priority while giving data to businesses.

The UCM platform technology team is looking for an experienced mid-level Java developer to assist with delivering value added secure APIs.

The candidate will be a key developer who will be ultimately develop cloud ready APIs using Java 11, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, including Oracle and ElasticSearch data repository, and our internal cloud-based solution for containerization.

The developer will design and development APIs as per industry standard RESTFul API.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways :

• Strong analytical skills and ability to articulate ideas and design to a group of peers.
• Solid Java 8 / 11 and Spring enterprise developer and matching SQL skills.
• Ability to work with Oracle and be able to write complex SQLs.
• Experience with Docker, GitLab CI / CI, Junit, Mockito, or other automated build and testing frameworks is also being sought.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following :

• 3-5 years of experience in software development required.
• Experience working in fast-paced environment.
• Should have thorough knowledge of the software development cycle.
• Must have experience developing RESTFul APIs in Java and SpringBoot.
• Must have experience writing SQLs, Spring JDBC / JPA Repositories.
• Should have experience writing quality Junit tests using Mockito.
• Good to have knowledge on API security using OAuth2.
• Good to have knowledge on Kafka, ElasticSearch, Redis or distributed caching.
