About the role
The Critical Infrastructure Americas team is a turn-key service provider to domestic and international marine asset operators, delivering cradle to grave engineering design, procurement, installation and commissioning of marine monitoring and advisory systems for a range of marine assets and structures in extreme environments.
The critical infrastructure team also supports our clients through life of field with site services and data services. Our systems employ the latest technologies across the edge and cloud to deliver reliable, highly available monitoring and advisory systems that provide Metocean, structural and asset operational data and insights, enabling our clients to operate, analyze and optimize critical assets in extreme environments, and also support important Net Zero and Decarbonization programs.
Our deep track record in Offshore Oil and Gas asset integrity has enabled growth in emerging marine structure markets of offshore renewable energy and large scale aquaculture facilities, and we now looking to grow our team to support a growing portfolio of projects.
This position is for a Mechanical Engineer who will be part of a team supporting specification, design, assembly, and installation of the company systems and products in the laboratory and offshore as needed.
The position sometimes requires installation and factory or site acceptance testing of supplied systems onshore or abroad offshore oil platforms and ships, or in shipyards worldwide.
This position will report to Engineering Manager and will work under general supervision of a Senior Engineer or the Engineering Manager.
Duties will include (but are not limited to) :
- Researching suitable solutions and estimating cost and schedule.
- Define requirements and functionality of mechanical systems.
- Assist in identifying customer requirements.
- Customer support, communicating with clients and contractors.
- Write and review technical documentation, writing and reading design specifications and technical drawings.
- Perform work offshore or in the marine industry, or in shipyards if necessary.
- Design mechanical devices using analysis and computer-aided design.

Location & Flexibility :
In terms of location, we have office in Houston, TX. This is a hybrid job .Please note that the travel to customer sites or to attend meetings will be required.
This role is a full-time position.
About you
Education and Experience :
- Required :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering or related Engineering field and have 2-3 years Mechanical Design experience
- We are looking for a demonstrated ability in Solidworks design tools (3D models, 2D drawings, simulation) AutoCAD, Draftsight
Desired :
Experience in offshore energy or marine industries would be beneficial.
