What will QUALIFICATIONS do you need to be a Full Time Cook at Blue Skies of Texas?

REQUIRED :

  • At least 2 years of experience as a cook, chef, or in food preparation
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to speak, read, and follow written and verbal instructions in English
  • Must show proof of successful completion and certification of a Texas Food Handlers Program or successfully complete within 60 days of hire
  • Must be able to lift 20-50 lbs
  • Working knowledge of various kitchen equipment
  • Ability to stand, move, and be in a heated environment for the duration of your shift

PREFERRED :

  • Short order cooking experience and breakfast cooking experience
  • Working in food prep, fast order cook, or line cook in a Senior Living facility
  • Ability to follow meal preparation from prep to service utilizing large quantity recipes

WORK SCHEDULE

Although the COOK's schedule at Blue Skies of Texas varies, based on the needs of our residents, unless we have a special event, our cook staff's hours end by 9 pm Monday Saturday;

on Sundays, the kitchen staff's day ends by 6 pm.
